    Toad's Turnpike (Mario Kart 64) updated 11/6

My friend and I have been making Mario Kart 64 remakes and so far we have 10/16 completed. I used rolling Kill Balls and side by side land mines to simulate traffic. I recommend not dying or putting the respawns to 3 seconds and 0 suicide penalty :) . Other maps available include Rainbow Road, Frappe Snowland, Koopa Troopa Beach, and Choco Mountain. The other 5 can be found on the fileshare of SO IYIeRciLeSs and these include DK's Jungle Parkway, Sherbet Land, Bowser's Castle, Banshee Boardwalk, and Wario Stadium (new and improved version coming at some point).

The killballs are genius as well as the delayed trip mines. A few times a killball spawnkilled me, but besides that is a really cool map.

Great idea using the killballs for cars. Didn't the original map have walls though?

Downloading all the maps. I have very fond memories of Mario Kart 64! :)

Yes the original had railings but I felt the map was wide enough so that they would be unnecessary and it adds another element of difficulty. I am considering moving some of those checkpoints where you can get spawnkilled to the little safety zones off to the side, should I?

    Edited by merge:

Just made some changes to the map and re-posted to my fileshare. Changes include: 1. Checkpoints are off to the side so you never get spawnkilled by the killballs 2. Removed one-way shield at the beginning 3. Made the safety zones on the side a little longer 4. Now completely warthog friendly
