My friend and I have been making Mario Kart 64 remakes and so far we have 10/16 completed. This is my version of Koopa Troopa Beach which is available on my fileshare (TurbTastic). The map includes all available shortcuts including the famous jump into the tunnel through the mountain. Crabs are simulated with landmines. Other maps available include Rainbow Road, Toad's Turnpike, Frappe Snowland, and Choco Mountain. The other 5 can be found on the fileshare of SO IYIeRciLeSs and these include DK's Jungle Parkway, Sherbet Land, Bowser's Castle, Banshee Boardwalk, and Wario Stadium (new and improved version coming at some point).
you got the image uploading part down but when you post the links, just put "" right behind the link. like this (if it shows up) [br][/br]Edited by merge: for the maps u already released, just edit them and then put the 's around them and they should show up btw man good job so far on the remakes, i'm seeing the resemblance very well
embedding thanks I used overhead maps, youtube videos, and emulators to make them as accurate as possible while still being fun in halo. I'm going back to fix the others now
Not sure how to get vids onto youtube and no room on fileshare. How hard is it to get a video from theater to youtube?
Yoshi Valley coming soon Good to hear, my friend is working on Yoshi Valley and I haven't decided if I want to do Royal Raceway next or make a better version of Wario Stadium...
Dude this map kicks ass. It's pretty smooth but there's shortcuts. It's cool how some of the shortcuts you can only use if you can actually drive (The bridge being the hardest and the tunnel being the second). It's also got nice aesthetics. You have my dl.
Updated 11/6 I made some changes to this map and uploaded version 3 to my fileshare. Included a 3, 2, 1, style starting thing to make it fair for everyone. Made the water bridge a little bit easier and also made the distance shorter for the non-tunnel route
That right there gets my download. I was concerned about the water bridge, it was very narrow in MK64 but I didn't feel like it translated well into Reach so this is a great change.
