I have been building an infection map and have the structure of the cabin/home finished but now I need to seal off some of the sides of the home. I am all out of building blocks and walls. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could use to fill this space? Check out the picture below to know what space I'm referring to. The red space is what needs to be filled. It is exactly the same on the other side of the house. Here is an overall picture of what the house looks like so far. If you have any suggestions on how to make it look better, I'd love to hear them. It has a basement (with a fireplace), main floor, and top floor. There are multiple entrances to each floor. It also has a backyard, balcony in the back of the house and there is a "ladder" on the side of the house that will also help you get to the roof.
Use your inclines. You get 100 of them, and they don't typically go very fast, so I'm assuming you've got more than enough to fill the hole in your building. Rotate them to get to the angle you want, and you're golden.
Also I think its the corner 2x2 that you can put together to make a 2x2 square but that uses alot of pieces.
yeah, use your bridges and inclines. did you even look through your pieces? its pretty easy to find something.
There are LOTS of peices that you can use. Bridges and platforms, inclines, anything along those lines should be pretty worthwhile.
Yes I looked through my pieces; but all the bridges and inclines are not flat. They are all too thick or have some sort of railing that would stick out of the wall and look weird and out of place. I think I'll have to use the 2x2 corner to make squares. I don't need a lot of them because the holes in the building will be filled with 6 of those pieces. I think that will work out just fine, thanks for the ideas!
If you don't have people up there that could walk through and only need to block it off visually you could use capture plates in a worst case scenario.
Step 1: Find any two or more pieces that could be replaced with one piece and do so. Step 2: Delete unnecessary pieces. This may sound stupid, but usually it can save a surprising number of pieces; however if that doesn't work... Step 3: Find pieces with one side that is never visible and replace it with pieces like a bridge so the railings are facing away. Many of the pieces in bridges and platforms do not actually have a railing so you can use them the same way as walls. If nothing else works Step 4: Use the natural pieces to cover up holes; no one will care if one part of the map has rocks in it.
Yeah I would recommend using capture plates I think you have like 99 of them and they work great as a wall, only problem is people can walk threw them.
Steal the big blocks you have under your building and replace them with something else, such as maybe Coliseum walls. Since it appears to be only a foundation you could just as easily use buildings, or maybe the "bunker stairs" piece. Good luck. That looks really cool.
I used brace, large as walls and roof. And you get 100 of them. Low poly count and low price/for the size. So the map still has great performance.
