And now was acknowledged the presence of the Red Death. He had come like a thief in the night. And one by one dropped the revellers in the blood-bedewed halls of their revel, and died each in the despairing posture of his fall. And the life of the ebony clock went out with that of the last of the gay. And the flames of the tripods expired. And Darkness and Decay and the Red Death held illimitable dominion over all. I'm making an infection map based on Edgar Allen Poe's story, "The Masque of The Red Death." It's close to Halloween, so expect it done around then. If you never read the story here is a link to it - The Masque of The Red Death by Edgar Allen Poe Ok, well the story pretty much focuses on this made up plague by Poe called the Red Death (sort of like the plague) and there is a prince who hides himself in a castle and invites people to this masquerade ball. There are 7 rooms in the castle that have different colors for each. The one room is dark, and has a blood red tint to it because of the stained glass. Nobody dares to go in there. Also in that room is a giant ebony clock that chimes every hour and makes everyone stop what they're doing to listen to it. At the strike of midnight this uninvited guest arrives dressed in black and is covered in blood with a rotted corpse as a face. He is the red death. He confronts the prince and kills him. Then everyone else is killed by the red death. So, I'm going to have several humans spawn in a castle, as the guests and one zombie outside that is released after 12 fusion coil explosions (Clock Chimes) He is the Red Death. He enters the castle and kills the guests. The guests can kill him though if they are smart. It would probably be kind of like Hide and Seek. After reading it, or if you already read it, Stay Tuned... muahahahaha. Happy Pegasi? ..
Absolutely epic name for a map, I love Poe, though tbh this is more of an obscure teaser than a map preview. Much as suspense and intrigue are great with these things, even a smidge of actual information would make this thread a lot more worthwhile.
