I always liked the power core phase in normal invasion because it is like a mad dash to the capture point.

Can we have 3 different version of a map to test out with phase 3 doing CTF, Assualt or Capture point? It'd be good to test out.

Well.. At the point I'm at on my map I could do all three. Though I'm leaning toward "attacking/defending" style game play for the last phase (meaning 'assault' or 'territories') just because that is how my map is set up...

Personally, I'm setting this to the side for now, as I've broken ground on a completely different map, which I'll also be submitting to the Forgetacular contest.

okay so at the start the elites will fly banshees from there island to the place where the spartans are right? well if a spartan kills an elite couldn't they just get into the elites banshees when the kill them?

I'm doing something similar to this and I don't have a way to fix that situation.

If we deploy a spartan laser somewhere within the map, we can combat the problem.

In my case, the Spartans will be relying on mostly explosive weaponry to combat the banshees. No spawned Plasma Pistols or Grenade Launchers means less EMPs to skyjack the banshees. Also, the banshees are going to spawn behind a oneway door, so that one spartan is going to be alone in the air when the Elites respawn right next to their banshee. I have a high runtime max so that a Spartan in the Shee will not deny them to the Elites.

My map, while I would consider it finished, still needs to be tested. It requires at least six people for an adequate test, and well, at most I can get three. I want to make sure its as good as I can get it, then I'll probably submit it to the tester's guild.

I have been brainstorming on an idea like this since before release. I haven't started forging yet due to other maps that are awesome and exciting as well as others that just failed.

I wish they had a VIP gametype. That way the first phase could include all of the elites and then the second phase would be VIP and it would randomly choose.

I was thinking of making the second phase a assault phase so that way it would be a volunteered prisoner. They would also have a "Ball and Chain" kinda of thing limiting their movement and no gun.

Anyone that wants to work with me on mine let me know. I'm always looking for people to forge with.

    Recently I have finished this map, and now I'm on the testing/fleshing out all the bugs stage of this. I have tested this map a few times with 4 people and so far it is looking like it is working properly (enough to play a game all the way through). Though I'm still trying to figure out how to balance the game properly. The slowed progress with the building of this map can be easily attributed to the balance between;

When weapons spawn on the maps, how much ammo are in each of those weapon, locations of those weapons Vs Loadouts for each phase Vs Vehicles for each team and for each phase Vs Spawning location Vs Positions Defending Team can take Vs Attacking Team...

Its gotten REALLY complicated. Basically I'm letting evolutionary process take hold of this one; I'm testing, hearing feedback, Making adjustments, repeat.. It would be nice to get a whole 12 (or 14 if possible) people on this one, but my friends are rarely online at the same time.

Also I'm out of money.. There are a few aesthetic things I can eliminate very easily, and I have eliminated, for the sake of reformed gameplay devices.

My personal opinion of my map is that it is kinda too big. Im sure people would have fun with it and the strange prisoner dynamic, but I feels really... stretched.

What may be slowing me the most is that I am working on two other maps (a short co-op puzzle/obstacle map, and an infection/KotH/Slayer/Territories, both of which are coming along rather well) So that is happening.

All I have to say about the mythology behind my map is "In a world where ventilation systems are larger than the actually building; where buildings bask in functional uselessness; where jail-cells are designed with... "elaborate escape mechanisms". In a world... where weapons, vehicles, and yes; Even People, materialize at various intervals... of time; exist an epic battle between two powerful beings.... who fight each other.... because of skin color..."

Ill post pictures soon.. Also the map if you reerry want it. Anyone else ready to show off their maps yet?
