Turf V2 Ok ive listened to what you guys have said and here it is, the updated version of my Turf remake. I believe now this is the most accurate remake out there in both scale and in aesthetics. Updates: So i listened to what oyu guys said and i went in and redesigned alot of things. Here they are: * Backed the Scarab up so there is space between it and the map, and added the 2 walls to its sides. Also made it look nicer and cleaner. * Added a crate and a dumpster in front of the scarab to better represent H2. * Added some aesthetic appeal around the dumpster area by the garage. * replaced the rocks inside garage with actual boxes. * replaced the rocks representing the trucks with more accurate boxes. * Fixed ALOT of the jumps in the map. Jump by scarab mid up to the cave walls has been fixed along with alot of other small spots. * Marketplace has been dramatically lowered to better represent H2. * Took away 2 of the health packs inside the medical tent. * Replaced certain crates around the map with dumpsters. * Added the falling rods that make it possible to jump from mid-sniper to brute shot areas. * Added a shield door to garage. I had your last version on my box and this one improves upon what I already thought was the best Turf remake. Looks great and accurate. Two suggestions I would give though: -There should only be one health pack by the tent and it should be outside it (to prevent camping inside it) -I'm not a fan of the shield door at the garage. I guess you're trying to account for the doors closing but it adds an element that wasn't there in the original, the second door should provide more than enough cover for anyone inside. (Also not a fan of the drop bridges since I rarely used them in H2 but that's a personal preference and I can just delete them for myself.) Again, this is by far the best Turf remake out there. Great job.
Thanks for both the DL's and ill see what i can do about the shield door, the health packs however shouldnt be a problem, even though there is 2 of them the med tent is to small to effectively camp, even if someone tried to u throw 2 gernades in there and they wont be able to recharge their health in time before the nades take them out. but ill see what other people say and than make a decision if it is worth it to go in and take them out or not.
I agree with DUDERMAN about the shield door and the health packs. IMO, lose one health pack and the shield door and maybe close the door a little more to make it more like H2. I very much disagree with DUDERMAN about the bridges. I think the bridges are an important part of the map. I remember myself and others using them all the time. They were knocked down and used as bridges within the first minute of a game. IMO you should use upside down railings and make them go from one side to the other. I think that it will be more like original and will look a lot cleaner. I'd also like to see a roof, but that my just be me.
