    Alternative Gametypes:

    The Dream: A gametype made using the FH user x DREAM 76 x's Suggested changes

    The Horde: Zombies on TD bank, has to be used on the new "The TD Bank" survivors have a persistant stream of limited ammo and hold out from as many waves of zombies as they can (Still In BETA)

    :Introduction:

    Remember the old campy Heist movies that captured our attention in our childhood? Well, Heist is our attempt to allow us to re-live the action and fun that movies like Die hard and Oceans 11 allowed us to experience.

    The Heist is a simple gametype that is based off of Bungie's standard "1 flag" gametype. The twist is the forge map offers the defenders a significant advantage over the invaders forcing the invaders to have to use strategy, stealth, and skill.

    :Gametypes:

    "The Heist" is the gametype we intend you to use on the bank map. However please feel free to make your own CTF gametype to play on the map. The map is also playable with any infection gametype. We do not have an official TD Bank infection gametype, if you want one please feel free to request it!

    :Teams:

    {Defense} (Guards) - Fight as an elite security force as you attempt to defend the Trans-Dementional from an onslaught of highly armed crooks.

    {Offense} (Robbers) Or join a group of mercenaries as they launch a caper against the most secure bank known to man, fighting a well trained and well armed security force.

    :Features:

    The map currently features 2 major structures. The ship in which the Robbers sailed in on, and the bank in which the Guards are employed to protect. The Robbers are outfitted with 2 Mongoose ATVs and 1 Warthog Truck with a mounted chain-gun. The Guards do not have vehicles, however they do have an advantage because they spawn inside the bank and have a few moments in order to set up defensive positions. The map is well forged and uses the budget in which Forgeworld offers to its fullest potential.

    There are 4 ways to get into the bank

    1.) The main door located at the front of the bank
    2.) The air ducts located on the roof of the bank
    3.) The underground passage located under the bank (through the water)
    4.) The tunnel drilled into the rock located on the right side of the bank

    :Story:

    The TD Bank prides itself in its high end security, however it is currently undergoing construction and has hired a security force to guard it while the construction is being completed. A group of crooks have seen that the bank is under construction and see this as an opportunity to launch the biggest caper in history. The goal steal a rare and priceless scepter located in the bank's main vault. How the story plays out is up to you...

    Looks really good, great aesthetics, im loving the crane. Not sure how gameplay would go, but whatever...but who would ever rob TD bank...its Americas most convenient bank???

    First off, thank you. Secondly, the gameplay is similar to any other one flag game, except the guards have the upper hand due to better cover. So the robbers must rely on stealth to get an advantage.

    Also, our official infection type is in the works and we may revise the map with a few minor changes soon. Theres one place you can get stuck if you're not careful : P

    This looks like a great idea for a map. the aesthetics look good as well. I will download it and play it with my friends tonight.

    do you know what would be beast? if you made an invasion gametype to where robbers had to rob the bank (ie: 1st tier blow up one of the doors, 2nd steal from the vault and 3rd escape to a safe area

    I tried the game and the one life thing really didn't work. The round would always end with one team eliminating the other before they could cap the flag. It would be cool if you made it like three lives with like a 30 second respawn time. This way you could actually watch the action unfold and still be involved in the game. The map was great. I would like to see you make some new game types for this. 4/5

    Thanks for the imput, two new Gametypes are on the way, one with unlimited respawns and one that kis zombies, as well as an updated version of the map. I like the 3 lives idea though, i think i will try it and if iy works well link it here, thanks for the imput guys!

    No prob. I like games like that with a few lives. Up the respawn time so you can watch the action unfold. I would think between 20 - 40 second respawn. Great job! I love the idea and the map.

    Lol I made a map like this except the robbers spawn in the bank like they just robbed it and have to get to there hideout, same name an stuff....this one looks better though

    That actually sounds pretty cool, Don't talk down to about your own maps, I'm sure there actually pretty good!

    Legit Review :)

    Enjoyment: Before I get too deep into this, let me tell you that a lot of my friends have been gravitating back towards Modern Warfare 2 lately. However, this map has proved to them that Halo Reach can deliver the “Search and Destroy Experience” just as well as it’s evil rivals can. After the first play through, everyone in the lobby was begging for another game. It’s amazing how simply 200% weapons damage and incredibly balanced load-outs can create such a sweaty palmed “Oh my god they’re in there” feeling. Having only one life only adds to this. The only (still significant) problem I have encountered when playing is the “vault” or flag room. Don’t get me wrong: the flag is by far the one of the best parts of this map, giving the attackers reason to infiltrate the (marvelously forged) bank. The blow-open door is also a nifty addition. No, the only problem is the vault itself. See, the bank is a very balanced building. With creative ways for the attackers to infiltrate it, a good balance between cover and open hallways, and simply good design, it plays like a dream. This is negated by the vault, a long room with no cover anywhere near the only door, and plenty of cover for the ones camping it. This makes an incredibly fun game more of a “how do we get through this tiny door when we have one life and die in four shots?” situation. The fix? Make the vault a more integrated part of the bank, meaning that it has some creative entrances that make it un-campable as well. That, or give players a single frag, which will allow campers to be blown to bits. Regardless of this small flaw, the map is still phenomenal.

    Enjoyment: 9/10


    Balance: Before people discovered the vault was easily camped, balance was perfect. No one ever had a complaint against either defending or attacking, as both sides present a unique challenge. In it’s current state, this score is hurt because of the before-mentioned vault. While it doesn’t hurt the maps enjoyment score much, as it’s just another obstacle for the attackers to overcome in-game, it’s not intended and if my party was hellbent on winning, defense would have won every round.

    Balance: 6/10 (In current state. Add a frag!)


    Durability: The map is perfectly designed, and the simple kill-zone approach works fine here. You can’t go anywhere you aren’t supposed to, and that’s that. Spawn camping is a non-issue, due to the single life nature of the game.

    Durability: 10/10


    Aesthetics: This category has generally positive feelings from me. Props on not adding fifty floors to this building like most mapmakers do: it’s a bank, and it looks like one. Good job on that. Only problem is, it’s a bank on a deserted island. Don’t get me wrong: I understand why you had to do this. Gameplay, gameplay, gameplay. Ignoring this fact, the bank looks great, and it does truly look like a bank under construction. My only true gripe here is the “TD” on the front. The “D” looks like an “O”. But truly, I’m too busy having a blast too notice tiny aesthetic flaws.

    Aesthetics: 9/10 (Because gameplay comes first. If this map was prettier, it would suck. I’m not taking off points for that fact)


    Originality: While there’s been maps like this, there’s never been one that played like this, and that’s where it counts. At it’s core, it’s one flag CTF, but when you play it, it’s so much more. Again, it shows Halo can deliver the same tense experience other games can, and it’s the first time I’ve experienced that tenseness in Reach. I’d say, that’s original.

    Closing notes: Keep up the phenomenal work. I’ll be expecting an invasion map out of you very soon... :)
