Hello, I am new to these forums as you can see and this is my first real beginner map. I have shown it to many of my friends and they all seem to think it is well made and so on so forth. ANY feedback would be greatly appreciated as this is my first map and would like to keep at it. With that, I present to you: Apothecary. I hope you enjoy it. Apothecary I would like to point out that I DID use the base foundation (outside walls) from someone else's map, which is Portal Kombat 2 by Solid Bop. I ONLY use the outside walls, and that is it. Apothecary is a multi-level combative map, which is great for all you jetpack fans! The bottom level is mostly natural items while the top is a large bridge seperated into layers. I tried to balance the weapon placement and such as much as possible, please tell me what you think. Pictures: This is the top view of the map. This is the red team spawn. This is the blue team spawn. The middle portion of the map. A view of most of the top walkway. Again, I am new here so any help with my map, or even the submission in general would be great. Thank you. EDIT: I am not sure what I did wrong with the download link, but here it is. Sorry Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details
Nice map for your first I really like that the map is built around that small river and I am one to appreciate darker filters so bravo on that!
Thanks, I used the filters Purle and Next Gen. I was just messing around with them and thought it looked really cool haha
Looks good from first-glance. I'll have a run-through later on. I also like the darker filter and environment. I'm fine with the map only being CTF/Slayer as those are my favorite gametypes, but others might want to see some KotH, Headhunter, Crazy King, Assault, etc. Nice map from the looks of it and I'll post my final thoughts after I play-test it a bit. Also, your thumbnail isn't working on the forum page.
I just downloaded it and ran around the map. I really enjoy this map, more than I thought I would. As I was looking at the picture I wasn't sure what to think, but after a quick run through I kind of like it. I admit, I've never been a fan of the purple filter, I still enjoy the map nontheless.
Thanks guys to be honest I wasn't expecting that positive of feedback I have to say it is a relief haha
