Just felt like sharing this with you guys. I'm still new to being a forgehub member, and all the posting rules, so if montages are not allowed I am very sorry. dst: I was hoping to get some advice, this is the only montage I have ever done and I enjoyed doing it so much that I want to do more, but I need to get a lot better at it. Any advice for my next video? YouTube - Team Tea Cup: Pierce the Veil - Yeah Boy and Doll Face The song is Yeah Boy and Doll Face by Pierce the Veil, not the best song choice, but I knew that I would be able to make it look better since the song goes slower and faster at different points... (This is my first time posting a video, i'll edit the post if I messed it up.)
Definitely not the best music choice and yet I still prefer it over the cliche slow piano intros by all the MLG players. It seems like as far as the clips, you kind of mixed multi-kills with fail clips. Not saying theres anything wrong with that, it just didn't seem to have any order. Also, teabagging after assassinating someone who's afk? Really? Overall, the competitive clips were pretty cool, the fail clips (for the most part) were funny.
I'll try to get a little more structure in my next attempt. Thank you. (P.S. he wasn't afk, he was sniping, all the same The Swag 1010 t-bags every kill.)
it was pretty bad, I felt like it was full of filler clips that dont really mean anything, Assassinations arent really so hard to do that they are montage worthy, and most of it was in Team Swat... Eh 5/10
Yeah, no offense, but this really wasn't a very good montage. Alot of the beginning kills were double kills in SWAT (not hard at all, I get at least 3 a game and I'm not very good). Your highest multikill was a triple kill, and alot of the rest was assassinations and you getting killed. I don't even know if I saw anything in there that was montage worthy other than maybe one o the triple kills, and even just that as a filler clip. BUt you probably think I'm just riding on you with no experience. And while I've never posted a montage I've got a slew of clips on my local files (and some of my best at my friend's house, I thought if I saved them with my GT I would be able to access them anywhere) that I want to make into a montage some day when I get Bungie Pro, and, honestly, I probably wouldn't have even bothered to save any of those clips.
i agree with you guys. i mean, those arent impressive. i stopped watching about halfway though due to boredom. the editing is okay, the clips are pretty bad. is this your first montage?
So what i'm hearing is get better clips. And this video was done over a couple days, all the recording, I just wanted to see what I could do with the editing. So what i learned is that the song choice needs a little work, I need to get more structure, and most of all, much better clips. Like I said though I got all of this in a couple days, and since all I like to multi team, and I could only get us all to play swat, (because WRICE is an idiot) I'll be sure to get a much better montage up in the future, and i'll be sure to use everything I learned here. Thanks guys
