Aaaaand First Post! Ok, so, I built an arena-style map that is symmetrical for 2 teams that has a lower and upper level. The map is functional for all CTF and Assault Variants, as well as Team Slayer. The problem I have with it, however, is with regular ol' Free-For-All Slayer. The game insists on spawning everyone on the same side of the map(on the top level) at the start of the game, and then every time someone dies, they respawn back in that same area. The game becomes a spawn-fest and it kind of ruins the map. There are at least 100 spawn points on the map(each within a red or blue spawn zone), but only about 10 are being used and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. I'd offer a link to the map, but I don't really want to send it out with it being as faulty as it is... Thanks to anyone who answers.
from my understanding of spawn areas, my first guess would be that you maybe have a neutral non-game specific (or FFA only) respawn zone around the spawn points where respawning is confined too, if you have a normal respawn zone in a gametype, then only respawn points in that respawn zone (or other similar respawn zones) will be used.
Gyurr-hurr-hurr. You're right. The blue spawn zone wasn't blue at all, it was neutral. Fixed it. Thanks.
