I set this gametype up so you can have a similar feel to playing COD on the various levels (especially the remakes of COD levels) 10 points per kill, -5 points per suicide. Games to 500 points or 15 minutes. 4 loadout classes for both elites and spartans Scout: sprint, assault rifle, magnum, 2x both grenades Warrior: sprint, dmr, magnum, 2x both grenades Juggernaut: sprint, shotgun, magnum, 2x both grenades Sharpshooter: sprint, sniper rifle, magnum, 2x both grenades Loadouts for both elites and spartans: Grenadier Sentry: sprint, dmr, shotgun, 1x frag Recon: sprint, assault rifle, magnum, 1x plasma Power: sprint, assault rifle, rocket launcher, 1x plasma Scout: sprint, sniper rifle, magnum, 1x frag Demon: sprint, dmr, concussion rifle, 2x each Other Settings: 50% Damage resistance, No Shields, 200% Health Recharge Rate 75% Damage modifier, 300% melee modifier 90% Speed, 100% jump but 200% gravity No vehicle use/indestructible vehicles No weapons on map. Weapons can be picked up Allies Only motion tracker Unlimited Sprint (Marathon anyone) Custom Powerup enables 10 secs of Enhanced Motion Tracker It's nowhere near perfect, but it's the best I could really get and still allow the levels to be functionally playable. Spam post is spam. This game seems to copy the OP broken spawned teeth gnashing, throw your controller agaisnt the wall feel of playing COD. That on that part is accurate. I would diversify the classes. It seems it's only a weapon and a magnum. Sure there may be a balancing feature thought of there but consider this fact of video games my friend: Since when is COD balanced and not OP I would put a grenade launcher into two of the classes and combine two explosive weapons in the loadouts. Not only is this normally what most players are accustomed to it will certainly bring back that classic murky air of COD. Other than that well done my friend.
I'll think about changing the first 2 loadouts to have a grenade launcher instead of the magnum. Which 2 explosive weapons do you recommend to combine?
Anything considered noobish (i.e. Rocket launcher sniper. Ugh terrible) Just kidding but in the now sense, I thing the Grenade launcher/ DMR, that would be good. If you need me to explain more please do.
It seems people would just be sprinting around and beating people down. Am I right or is that balanced out by the shotgun and low health? And btw, your health pack is side ways :]
It should be balanced out by the low health. 3 dmr shots to the body will kill you, and that picture of the shotgun kill is where i stood for a one shot kill. I tried several combinations of health/damage settings to try to get something close, but feel free to experiment with this yourself and tell me what seems better Yeah, I've noticed that. it's not my map though. It's the Rust Remake by VortexContinuum.
that's my biggest problem with CoD right there, so if he wants to make CoD in Halo he'd hafta do that.
I finally got around to modifying the loadouts. I know Grenadier isn't the proper name, but I was kind of going off the default set in modern warfare 2 so a few of the names transferred over. I expect Demon/Power to be utilized the most.
