Mountainous A small playing field for those who hunger for killing. Download Map: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=19815761 Description: Why Mountainous, you may ask? This battlefield is definitely named appropriately, for it's hilly main portion is large and daunting, like a mountain, and it helps to obscure your line of sight when chasing someone through the bowels of this map. At the peak of the mountain is a Brute Shot and an Overshield, but the Brute Shot is often missed so you won't often see the two together. Peak of the mountain with Brute Shot and Overshield. Tunnel system directly beneath the right bottom corner. It features a small tunnel system through which you will have to crouch, but the tunnels hide an Active Camo, so there is a reward. The location of the Camo is hidden for now. Find it. Down the bottom is an open space, but with enough cover for you to be able to recharge your shields there. In the middle there is a single merged box, on top of which is a needler, which is a risk to approach, as there you will be in everyone's sight when you pick it up. Needler Spawn. Camo tunnel with Trip Mine shown in background and Turret above view. More Images:
this This map looks good, i have not downloaded it yet but it is in que. It looks sloppy and i know thats what you were going for, the mountain looks good, and i like your use of decorating the scene, and interlocking
why did you change the name? i liked crater better but mountainous works well too, is the tunnel thing still in there? and why is it V1?
Looks good I also went with the mountain look on my map and this is what I came up with Eternal Fountain cheak it out to get some ideas.
I love you guys! Anyway, to answer Ivory Snake's questions, I went with mountainous because by the end the map looked more like a mountain with walls than a crater, and it's V1 because the map is currently prone to change. Just so you know, the messiness is intended. EDIT: Did someone give me rep? I says so in my user CP
Aww total sweetness dude! That is one of the best ideas ever, making a mountain terrain map. I love how this feels legitamately organic and everything seems well interlocked and with purpose. Good one!
It looks great, amazing interlocking and design. I love the slanted feel to some placesn it makes it really interessting, alll in all a great map 5/5
