Solitude Map Description A very nice remake of Derelict, with a couple things added from Desolation. The Forerunner aesthetics the those maps returns in this Halo: Reach iteration. Solitude's gameplay is fast paced, and chaotic. If you ever played on Derelict, Desolation, you know how this map plays. Also, the Sword and the Power-ups only appear in Free-For-All games, while the Rockets and Shotguns only appear in Team games. And, Shield Doors and a very much darkening of the map only appear during Infection. As always with a map related very closely to Derelict, the maximum recommended amount of players is 8. I never played the original map but it plays pretty well. I like the aesthetics, especially the detail surrounding the teleporters. Both invis and overshield is a bit much on such a small map though and I think it would be better if there could only be 1 sword on the map at a time. I also had a few frame rate issues in and around the lifts, there probably isn't much you can do about that though.
Yeah, there really isn't much I could do about the frame rate issues without sacrificing forge objects. The Overshield and Active Camo are only there for Free For All Games, and were more meant as a call-back of sorts to Derelict.
This is a quality map, a little small for my tastes but not an issue at all I downloaded and liked it, bravo Psychosis IMO This could easily be edited slightly and turned into an exact remake of Derelict If however you dont care, then all of this is irrelevant from here on out. If you do I've given you my suggestions that should help out Spoiler Im only bringing these to your attention because you have created such a good quality map, if it wasnt good i wouldnt bother with these small imperfections *The triangular shape bridge extensions towards the middle *The pieces of cover strutting out from the floor *The inclusion of windows (Cover, Glass would be my choice) *The middle area on the bottom should slightly decline from the floor above it *There are added structural pieces along the top angles of the map, where sniper was for example *The man cannons would be replaced with an object corner or something Here are two overlays of Derelict for comparison (This is all opinion)Also adding just a little more size. maybe 15% bigger or so. It just seems a tad small
