Is it like the new Recon? I know that you have to buy every helmet to unlock it but I just played a game of SWAT and a Warrant Officer Grade 3 had the Haunted Helmet. Does that mean he is like Bungie staff or he did something to get it like Recon in H3? Just a question because that kinda surprised me.
He was probablly a hacker/modder because last time I checked bungie members have the rank of "inheriter" and they dont give that out to people,it's an unlockable.
What Silva said. I believe it's a Halloween Gift though. Definition of helmet is "Happy Halloween!" I believe.

I actually played with a Bungie employee a little while ago. He had blue fire and the haunted helmet. He was a captain grade 2, I believe. I read somewhere it becomes available when we reach Inheriter.
Bungie's employers helmets seem to have purple fire to me, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm not color blind either. lol. Yeah, if he was a Warrant Officer Grade 3, I doubt he got 20 million credits.

Developers playing their own games? That's preposterous rumor! Plus, Bungie Emps don't get Inheritor automatically. I'm pretty sure one of them said he was only a Warrant Officer G3. Which puts him where I am. Which makes me feels better.
I remember a bungie emp saying it would come out for haloween to everybody and on halo reach planet it is listed for only 1c.
I highly doubt that it would be available to all people, then what would Bungie employees have to distinguish themselves ingame? Flaming Heads got replaced. I could see it being a reward for reaching inheritor, because that takes a whole crapload of games to unlock, and is reserved for the hardworking elite.
In my game he definitely had the haunted helmet but he had the normal flames instead of the purple flames. His name was Flarbiter or something like that, i dont know if I still have the game on my recent files list :/
I am also seriously confused about Haunted. The first thing I heard was that you have to purchase every single base helmet in the game which will take about 2 years (because of the 60k daily credit cap and the cost of base helmets). Other people have been saying it comes out on haloween which is really soon and now people are saying that you have to get to the highest rank possible in the game! Can somebody please clear this up for people, I don't actually want haunted but I'd like to know how to get it.
Achronos Proof that Bungie members are in fact going through the ranks just like us. As far as the helmet goes, I thought you had to purchase all base helmets, then the helmet would be available for purchase. I highly doubt it will be available to all on Halloween.
I think I read ferrex state that he was a Major. Employees are playing the game normally, just like the rest of us. They just get the employee perks of special armor.
I think the helmet will only be available on Halloween day. Then it will be removed and then you will have to accuire every helmet to recieve the haunted.
no, you have to get every helmet and that is the only way. you dont have to be inheritor, and how would it take 2 years to buy every helmet? maybe if you played like, once a month.
