Hey fellas, this is my first official post on Forgehub, so be gentle. I've actually been editing Halo since Halo 1 PC (over at modhalo), but I got out of it for a long while, this new forge, however, has gotten me pretty excited, after messing around a bit, I decided to try my hand at making a map. I racked my brain for good ideas, before I remembered a map that I truly loved from Halo 3, Distortion, so I decided to try my hand at a similar concept. It's far from perfect, but I'm happy with the way it's turned out, and intelligent suggestions for improvements are always welcome. Twisted Sister is a symmetrical map that takes SOME inspiration from battle creek and bloodgulch in that it features two main bases facing each other across an open area. My map however, adds a second, lower layer that features intense close-quarters combat Screenies: By jdjeph at 2010-10-17 By jdjeph at 2010-10-17 There ya go, critique away
Anyone else? I'm kinda looking for some feedback, I was familiar with working on Halo 1, just wondering if there's anything I missed here.
Did the name come from the Murderdoll's song? I find angled maps are best when I can physically get a sense of vertigo or motion sickness. I'll DL and check it out.
Actually, twisted sister was an old rock (possibly hair metal, couldn't say for sure) band, they've got a few songs ya might recognize. and I wasn't going so much for vertigo as much as using the angles to alter the gameplay angles, though it can get a little trippy in places
