Remake aim_map

    Remake of the Counter-Strike's most famous aim training map aim_map. Map created with high details and it's perfect for aim training in Halo. Map is ment to be played with Red & Blue (because of spawn points) and SWAT is highly recommended. I also made a game mode named aim_map SWAT which basicly is swat with 110 % damage and magnum as primary weapon and with no secondary weapon. Also it allows the weapons in map which normal SWAT doesn't. In map there are 7 DMRs and 4 snipers for both Red and Blue and a grenade in the midle.

    You know what, sorry for that, I really am... it's just that if you look at my post history, something like 5 out of the last 7 posts of mine is me correcting someone just like I did to you... I guess I'm just getting tired of backseat modding, which I really should stop. Sorry bro.

    Anyways... Think of posting your map like it's a job interview. Would you really go to a job interview wearing sweat pants? Well that's how your map post is. In a job interview, you are trying to sell yourself, so you want to dress up and make sure to impress your possible employer. Same thing for a salesman. You want to have the perfect sales pitch... not just, "oh hey dudes, check out my map, it's really good and all my friends say it's perfect!" Why should we believe you? I've got an idea; MAKE US believe you. Take the time and effort to make a good sales pitch. I'd bet half the people here don't even click on map threads if it doesn't have the thumbnail picture next to it.

    well i actually tried to put a thumbnail but couldn't figure out how. I read the faq but it didn't help.

    if you used image shack, you need to right click the image and open it in a new window/tab and then use that link

    A single link to the correct form is all that is needed. I hate seeing all the negative criticism when that's all that is needed.

    Interesting map. I'll b downloading it :)

    I hope you like it! It's true that link is the only thing needed but obviously you have to got something to get peoples attention. I added the pictures so hopefully that gives a clue what the map is like to people who haven't played it on Counter-Strike.

    Cool. I see the pics and stuff now. Needs to be larger, as Counter-Strike to Halo scale differs quite a bit. at least 2x larger.

    I'd even do a version with two levels. But that's me.

    Spaces between some boxes need increased a bit, and more cover on initial spawn points. Each team can see each other. In this instance, the person with the fastest connect is ready first and kills the other player.

    Yeah those are good point but the map is designed as close as the Counter-Strike version as possible. I had CS:S open and running the map as a cloned it to Reach so stuff like the placing of the boxes is really accurate. The spawning is a problem, agreed.

    Playing the map requires kind of a "gentlemen rule" between the players (easier with friends obviously) that nobody is spawn camping for kills (which is extremely lame btw). The games that I've played with random players have been fun and spawn camping hasn't been a huge problem.
