Open manors such as this suggest a Forerunner class system similar to our own. Hi! I've long been a lurker/map downloader at ForgeHub but with Reach I decided to finally join in! Concept/Inspiration For Château, I wanted to focus on having a majestic type of manor, full of open-air areas but with nice architectural elements. The map features two sides with three floors, with a bridge connecting the two at the cliffside and man cannons at at the top of the structure. On the first level is a large garden area leading up to the main entrance of the complex, along with a rounded wall that serves as the main landmark for the map. On the second level on each side is a room (red on one side, blue on the other). Two staircases in the back corners wind from the bottom floor to the top. On the second-floor bridge you can find the rocker launcher. Just below the rockets is a fusion coil and a series of canisters. A good marksman can shoot these, which will fire haphazardly onto the garden area below. Getting a kill with one of these is incredibly fun (and funny!) Thanks a lot for checking out my map
Based on the screenshots alone, I really like the look of this map. It's certainly a unique design. Will give this one a download and let you know how I find it! Great work.
great map dude. but several things: one, there are only two ways to get up from the ground, leaving green team in a bad spot. add grav lifts maybe? and two: the cover blockings you used to block people from going behind the buildings dont work. replace them with dishes or rocks. other than that, I love it. feels like a mix of construct and narrows from halo 3
Thanks guys! As far as going around behind the buildings, I put the cover things there just as a signal not to try it, but there are kill zones behind it regardless. Is that enough or do you think I should put more there? My only hesitation is that I'm running low on pieces and I don't want to put too much more in the scene, for the sake of framerate. By the way sik, I love Bart's Manor. Been running around it and showing it to buddies of mine. Very fun map.
