Hi, all! This is my first map on ForgeHub. It's called Pretorium. I'm looking for ideas, criticisms and critiques on this map, as well as forging in general. The map has two "bases" (sides really) with two connecting bridges. Apart from the open courtyard, it also features multiple interiors/rooms. The weapons are as follows: 4x DMR @ 60 sec 2x Needle Riffle @ 120 sec 2x Neddler @ 60 sec 2x Plasma Pistol @ 45 sec 1x Magnum @ 60 sec 1x Sniper Rifle @ 150 sec 1x Rocket Launcher @ 180 sec 1x Shotgun @ 150 sec 6x Plasma Grenades @ 30 sec 2x Health Pack @ 30 sec The longer than usual respawns on some of the weapons are because of their location. The weapons on higher/more advantageous areas of the map spawn less frequently. And then, the sniper, rockets, and shotty are obviously longer despite their low, neutral locations. Looks like it has a good layout from what I can tell from the pics. I especially like the area with the yellow lamps. The aesthetics look very nice here. The map reminds me of Prisoner a little, from Halo CE. Very nice job on your first map. I would suggest putting a description and a weapon list on your post. Other than that, very nice job!
I like it. It strikes me as a map where if we had Bungie's tools, it would be the Courtyard/Greeting Hall for an ONI or UNSC facility. That little Satellite structure out on the island is a nice touch too.

This is a very good looking map. nice lighting and layout. The only thing i could see changing, is it looks very open. Not sure if its just the screen shot you chose, i'll download the map later and give it a run, but more cover might help game play a bit.
DL'd. A very nice map overall, very nice to look at and plays pretty well also. The first thing i did was try and break it by getting out of the map via jet pack lol you did a good job with your kill barriers. My only complaint is how close the sniper and rockets spawn to each other. I played my friends 2v2 and i managed to get sniper and rockets then immediately ran outside the door. I might even consider not having a sniper on the map, i struggled actually using it(but im not the greatest sniper so i dunno).
Thanks for the input! I considered this also. I think I'll remove the Rockets and leave the Sniper. Replace the Rockets with 2x Frag Grenades, I think. @Adelard: Thanks for the advice! I'll play around with adding cover to a few areas and see how it looks. I never had too much trouble in actual gameplay, though.
