i had a couple of questions that have been puzzling me for a while trying to get my maps made, many of the problems came up while trying to play them:

    1) i made a territories map, storm the beach remake, and in the original it has 6 terries, and forge lets you put down like 40. but when putting more then 5 on the map it only shows the first 5. i noticed on the game options you can choose how many terries on map but there is only an option for 1 or 5. i dont know if thats the problem but being able to put more would be awesome.

    2) while playing the same game many people told me that they couldnt pick up weapons half of the time. sometimes theyd pick it up fine but others it just seemed like a dead object. i think i put the spawn min and max at the right values, but i dont know why its inconsistent.

    3) i saw this in another map, when you go up to a new weapon to pick it up (say a plasma rifle) and you switch it with a magnum. well when you press x, it equips fine but when the magnum (or any other switched out weapon) stays fixed in the air where you were holding it. it cant be moved or switched with again, its just locked there floating in mid air for a minute or two then vanishes.

im guessing 2 and 3 are related somehow, but any help is appreciated, thanks.

2 and 3 are probably caused by you setting the weapons' physics to phased/fixed.

Once you switch out the weapon with another, it will get stuck in the air and act as a static object. Next time, just lean a weapon against the wall or lay it on the floor, or create a rack for it using a small piece.

    You are correct.

However, there is a way to accomplish a floating weapon that doesn't interfere with gameplay.

    Step one: Spawn the weapon
Step two: Place it where you want it
Step three: Edit it to make it phased / fixed
Step four: Go into spartan mode and pick up the weapon
Step five: While in spartan mode switch the weapon that you just picked up for a different weapon
Step six: Go back into edit mode and bring up the options for the weapon that you just switched away from
--Note: Do not select the weapon (by pressing A), just press X
Step seven: Edit the weapon back to normal
    Step eight: Restart the round
Step nine: Enjoy your floating weapon =]
