Ok, so I'm trying to set up this multi-flag map. I want to do it avalanche style, where the place your flag spawns is different from where you have to cap the enemy flag to. (the flag is closer to the front of the base, you have to cap the enemies in the back) but after having placed a flag stand and a flag capture plate (and trying endless combinations of CTF labels...) I can't get this to work. The only working thing I can make happen is for the flag to spawn on the cap plate, and be capped there, rendering the stand useless. Is it possible to achieve what I am trying, or is it another of those cut forge features?
I'm sorry to say, but it is not possible with Forge 2.0 to have your flag spawn and capture point in 2 different spots. Such a horrible design idea. I mean Halo3 had it, I don't understand why they had to remove it, I'm sure it wasn't going to affect the performance of Forge 2.0. I too recently came across this problem, and upon further querying, I realized that it is not possible. I've finished my map and learned at the end when placing the objectives that I may have to continue work on my map. I'm so mad right now.
well, thanks. good to know I wasn't just incompetent with the controls. Just wonder why these things didn't make it in. Luckily, it wasn't so much of a game changer on my map, but it was kind of big aesthetically....
Yeah, that's the problem with my map... it changes my aesthetics... Where I wanted the flag to spawn will now be left empty, and its like a shrine of sorts and will look so stupid now that its empty.
what are you smokin' (in a nice way) you set the the flag stand to CTF and the capture plate to CTF return boom done
Well, I tried that and each time the flag must be scored where the flag spawns. And I was going by this article, which says that it is not possible to split flag spawn/score points: Bungie.net : ForgeWorld : Article
