It's your run-of-the-mill Team Slayer game in matchmaking. But there's a weird glitch that occurs: first the Timer hits 0:00, but the game doesn't end. You reach the 75-point score limit, but soon enough you've reached 82 kills and you're curious how long this can go on.
The glitch gets worse! Oh man, there's lag, the audio of the game's playing 15 seconds after action, pieces of geometry are moving around, trees and buildings are spawning out of nowhere, etc.
This all culminates in a giant Covenant cruiser spawning on the map and initiating a Slipspace Jump! Now this is getting crazy. There's a white light, and suddenly you've been transported to this weird island, lovingly dubbed the "Restaurant at the End of the Universe"...

On the edge of known space, where you now stand, the great oceans of time and space wash all the Universe's garbage and detritus up onto the shores of this isle. Many old relics from different eras stand tall but crumbling and decaying in this ageless land.

    An old bunker...

An ancient gate to the realm of Oblivion...

Pride Rock, where many a noble lion reigned long ago in Africa...

the dark lord Sauron found that death didn't come so easy for him as melting a ring. Now he gazes outward, sinking ever deeper into madness every day...

...And he's not the only one. A silent entity exists here as well. He is older than time can tell, and nor could he tell you, such is the state of his millennial mind...

The skeleton of a Forerunner structure often called "Ascension" or "Pinnacle" by lesser beings juts out like a broken bone from a wound just off the shore...

The ghost of the old World Trade Center is here...

A camp, no doubt made ages ago by whoever crafted this monument to insanity...

Holy relics and treasures adorn the hills as well...

OH YEAH, AND DID I MENTION THERE'S A FRIGGIN OLD-AS-DIRT GPS SYSTEM, COMPLETE WITH SATELLITE ANTENNAE?!?!?!

    WHat you have against it?
The idea is pretty epic. Pretty crazy. Its more a casual map so it fits better in the casual section.

I was hoping for a Hitchhiker's referance. But this is awesome nonetheless.

Shouldn't this map be under "Casual" or "Aesthetic" Maps?

Nope, Competitive Maps = Slayer or Team Slayer, which this is.

i don't have anything against it. it just seems random enough for a comment like that. i wasn't criticizing the map or anything, i haven't even played it yet.

If I got my bearings correct on you pic, you have N pointing to where I thought East was at.

Is there an official guide on the Forge World compass?

    Anyone know?

This has to be the most random map I have ever seen in my life. My personal favorite is the Gate to Oblivion. Party with some Daedra, anyone? I wonder what was going through your head when you made this map...

So nothing to do with H2G2?

*sigh* I am disappointed. I may have been interested in the map if you'd made some reference to the series as the name would imply.
Oh, and the Restaurant at the End of the Universe is literally that. Milliways is the ultimate gastronomic experience, see-sawing in time over the end of everything.
You know, the one where the main course introduces itself?

I'm just going to have make my own H2G2 map now.

Pretty sweet, except the "GPS" is wrong. Switch north and south or east and west. Can't rewally tell which from a picture.
