What is this forgetacular u speak of? Either my cave is bigger than i thought or this is something you have just made up.
It's a contest from Bungie where you can submit your creations from forge. It's for US only but please don't start about that in this thread. I'm gonna submit my map Didact, if you want to check it out see my signature. Can still use some feedback!
I'm doing ym super duper awesome Invasion map that is displayed in my sig. *cough* comment and criticize please*cough*
I'm trying to work on a symmetric map with four unique elelvations, of course two bases, interesting drop points, and a new unique way to use the snipers perch...working title: Chutes and Ladders. We'll see what I finally end up naming it.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH thats fine, my cave is alright then minus the fact it is on the wrong side of the pond.
The one I am just finishing up(and having tons of budget problems lol) is called A-Frame. Its a 3 level enclosed symmetrical arena mostly for TS or Flag but I dont know what category to submit it in. I will TRY and get out at least 1 other map in whichever catagory I dont enter TS or Flag, no more than 2 more though and thats pushing it. Ill want to do an asym for my second as those are more appealing to me.
i was going to enter, but read the rules and it's only open to residents of the US. Yeah. Sucks to be me.
I got 3 maps either pretty much finished or in progress. Depending on the feedback I get I plan on throwing all of them into the hat. Side question, what's the deal with overshields and stuff? None of the maps in matchmaking right now have an overshield or any powerups. All of my maps have at least one powerup on them so does that make them a no go?
Bungie says that winners of the contest are subject to eligibility, meaning that to win the prize you have to be a US resident, but they also said that even if you're not from the US you should still enter your map. They said that if a map is good enough, they may even add it to their matchmaking playlist, and if it's good enough they might even add it before the end of the contest date which is November 28. So for those of you who are out of the US, don't feel bummed about not winning the Xbox360 console; enter your map anyways! I mean, you obviously already have a working Xbox360, so winning the prize shouldn't matter much anyways. For me, I don't really care about the Xbox360 prize, I just want to see my creation in matchmaking, and that's all this contest is about to me in the first place. Good luck and happy forging to you all!
