Shark Reef 2 On… Feeding Frenzy 4-16 players Note: Version 1.3 has a different color effect to reduce purple, and increase a night-like experience. Pictures may seem more purple than actual game experience. Welcome to Feeding Frenzy! A much more improved version of my older shark reef map. BEWARE - No Swimming. OPTIONAL HONOR RULE: Elites should not be allowed to play because they can jump higher, walk faster, and are also taller, which can make the game “unfair”. Shark Reef 2 is the sequal to the Shark Reef from Ocean Sports. There are rocks and caves to take cover in and to use as "Camping Areas". Sharks spawn in the cave in the back of the reef. This cave is larger and more decorated, and allows sharks to be above water. Once sharks leave the cave they submerge into the water. Each round 1 shark will start. Sharks start out with Swords and Gravity Hammers, have 150% speed, can sprint, and have low damge resistance. Humans start out with Shotguns and Magnums, and jump height is very limited with no radar present (they also now have waypoints above their head that is visable to everyone). When the game starts, the shark can choose to sneak or sprint to their first meal. Sharks now have a 75m Enhanced Radar. Be careful not to fall into the water for too long, zombies can be very fast and may come out of nowhere since the water is quite foggy! (Plus keep in mind, sharks can jump higher than you!) Unpredicted suicides and glitched betrayals will not count against your score. Some rocks have a soft kill zone to prevent overpowered positions (HINT: That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use them for less than 10 seconds). And don’t even try to spawn kill the sharks, you will regret it. Thank you for checking out Shark Reef! Please like and recommend to your friends. Please post your ideas so I know what everyone thinks of Shark Reef. I take all criticism, compliments and will answer any questions. Got a good group of 6 for this, and thoroughly enjoyed it, however paranoid you can get on it sometimes Couple of points though: I found after a while, many were sitting on top of this one rock. The sharks could get there only by a narrow path. The map is slightly too small. There isn't a lot of room. Zombie spawn killing is easily possible due to the fact zombies spawn in the same room all the time. However, excellent gametype and I will use it (and possibly make a map for it if you don't mind ) in the near future- 4.4/5
Okay, let me try to help you... First I thought I made sure every possible rock to get on had at least 2 easy smooth ways for sharks to get on. You might want to send me a screenshot of the rock and ill take a look at it. Second I have actually made this map based off of a smaller map I made last week. Its extremely hard to make it any larger since I have used the max number of rocks. Third, it is not possible to spawn kill the sharks since they are invulnerable for 2 seconds after the spawn. So they could just sprint and kill whoever is spawn killing. Plus there are actually 2 ways out of the cave. But yeah, you should send me a screenshot of that rock, I may have to do some readjusting if what you say is true.
Looks REALLY fun. Would love to play it with you sometime. P.S. Nice to see a map that's made out of rocks and uses the actual forgeworld map =)
Ahhh, now I've found the second way onto that rock. Its still not so easy for sharks though, especially if theres 3 on top of it... Its a shame Bungie couldn't supply more rocks to play with, a larger map would be fun. And on the spawn killing aspect... I was able to spawn kill. For example, you may be able to sprint and run to the player, but it depends on where you spawn in that cave. If you are tucked in the corner there, you can pretty easily spawn kill. However, it is good and fun. Kudos
Although I wasn't able to actually play test this map with a group of people, I couldn't find a single area in which you would accidentally drown. Nice work. You definitely accomplished in bringing an eerie aura to the map with your combination effects. There is one problem that I have with this creation: It should be Feeding Frenzy on Shark Reef 2, not the other way around.
Halo Reach it displays the gametype first and then the map. Since Shark Reef 2 is 'on' the map. Right?
What Warfang means is that he/she thinks that Feeding Frenzy should be the gametype name, not the map name.
Your right, it would have been better. But since my last gametype of shark reef was the gametype, and this is the sequal; it just makes more sense to have Shark Reef 2 as the gametype.
