    Nautik

    ~ A seaside fortress with winding pathways built into the crag, intended to slow the enemy's approach toward the high point.


    Inspired by the ocean rocks of Forge World, Nautik is a maritime map with high points, low points, bridges, tunnels, gaps, chasms, and open platforms for players to engage in strategic combat.

    To me, a good map has well thought-out structure as well as aesthetic value, both things I tried to incorporate into Nautik. Ascend to the top of the shore crag to grab the sniper and pick off players from the top. Be careful to watch your back though, there are many ways to access the ascention. All weapons are included.

    Hide out in the bunker and slash people with the sword, fight along the rocky beach beneath or roam the bridges seeking a kill.

    The map runs best on all types of slayer. There is a teleporter and a couple of man cannons scattered around, which may need to be removed from the map during load-out slayer matches (launching off one with the jetpack can send
    you soaring haha).

    I like your map from the pics, I noticed you turned the round bunker from blood gulch upside down so you would have the hole in the floor, I had considered that for a map of mine but never did it, nice sword placement. Ill download it later and like it on B.net. I'll send you an invite if I end up getting a game going. you should check out my map if you get the chance.

    After recently playing this map in Halo Reach, I have to say that you need to add more pics so that people can see what this map really looks like. Perhaps an over head view.


    I only saw three faults with this map while I was playing:

    1) You phased in some objects together that make some areas of the map look trashy.
    This problem can be easily fixed.

    2) A minor glitch with the energy sword. Whenever someone picks it up and then switches it for another weapon, it floats and nobody can pick it up. I've seen this plenty of times though on several maps and there doesn't seem to be a way to stop it. Sigh.

    3)Limited game types. I think Headhunter, Stockpile and One Flag CTF would have been a great edition to this map.

    Besides these three faults, the map is spectacular. I can already imagine what kind of mayhem could happen on this map. Good Job.
