Reduce starting ammo?

    Sorry if this has been posted (did a quick search, didn't find anything) but is there any way to reduce the amount of ammo you start the game with ie spare clips? Thanks for any help.

    Yes this was an issue for me when making zombie gametypes. As far as i know you can not change the starting clips, it will always be 2 extra clips, except for maybe rockets which may be 1 extra clip.
    Your best bet is to have the starting weapon be a plasma pistol and have the weapons at the spawn for the players to take.

    but than they could grab 2. you would have to make spawn boxes, with one way shields or something, and those are pretty dumb.

    False, your best bet would be a grenade launcher with 0 extra clips...that = 1 grenade

    Grenade launchers start with 7 spare clips...

    You're thinking of when you spawn one in forge. The OP was asking about when a player spawns with a particular weapon.

    As such, I don't believe there's a particularly beautiful way to pull this off.

    Im having the same problem, i wanted to have the 'one in the chamber' gametype from Black0ps just cause i think it would be fun, but i cant find a way to reduce ammo
