    Fort Beaver Cavern

"Built in memory of those who lost there lives during the Battles at Beaver Creek. It serves as home to the men and women who protect and operate the Comms Array on Welelaulae Island."

A remake of Beaver Creek/Battle Creek from Halo 2/Halo: CE respectively. I've made a few modifications for aesthetic and available set piece reasons, but it still plays the same as the old maps. The biggest change was the removal of the rock jumps at the front of the bases and the sides. I had a hard time recreating them without negatively impacting the gameplay. However, I did add lifts to the sides of the bases for rooftop access. I'm still working on the map to so it can be used for other gametypes. I'm posting it up early to get feedback from everyone. I welcome any comments or suggestions. Thanks.

I hope you guys like it. If you do let me know. If you don't... let me know and why so I can make it better.

I dont mean to downplay your effort, but you may want to read the threads before you post. Someone else just posted the same thing, and it is almost and exact replica of beaver creek. its called Noble creek, check it out.

Doesn't mean he can't post his version of the map.
As for the map; it looks really good. I'm really liking the water in the middle like the original.
    Downloading now.

exactly, I was pointing it out so he could go check it out and maybe incorporate some different things into his. I know its really hard to make a map, and you just want to share it when its done, i was just giving some honest feedback. feel free to check out my maps and give me some honest feedback too, thats what the boards are for

Thanks for the feedback Adelard. Exactly what I'm looking for. Actually I did download almost every version of a Beaver Creek remake I could find. They were all good, but too me Fire Cracka's version, Noble Creek, is pretty much an exact replica of Beaver Creek (it's amazing). I started before I looked at everyone else's version and as I got closer to completion I went in and saw what everyone else was doing. The things I liked and didn't like were kept in mind as I put on my finishing touches. But from the get go I had two things I wanted to accomplish. 1) Have an actual river in the center of the map. Some maps had it and some maps didn't. The one that did have it had the bottom floor of the bases flooded also. I built my map so it wouldn't happen. And 2) I didn't want it to exactly be Beaver Creek/Battle Creek. With most of their remakes, Bungie does some sort of visual changes (ie Lockout/Blackout, Ivory Tower/ Reflection, etc.). So I took out the rock ramps and caves and replaced them with walkways and stairs. Added a heli-pad and comms base outside of the map to give it more life.
Sorry I now wall of text. I just wanted to explain my thought process. I like reading how and why forgers make the design decisions they do. I wish more forgers would do that. Thanks again.

Added after 6 Hours 8 minutes:

Oh and thanks for the download Alright!
