    Echoes

After seeing hundreds of generic gray maps using no part of the enviroment Forge World offers what so ever, I decided to make Echoes. Echoes is a asymmetrical map with a lot of inspiration coming from the second map "Halo" in Halo:CE. It's a map designed for Team Slayer, but One Flag should also work just fine.

    Overview:

The natural side, where the blue team spawns: (This is not as open as it looks, a lot of height differences at this side)

The Forerunner facility side, where the red team spawns:

One sniper spawns at each side. This is the natural side's sniper spawn:

Right next to the sniper is a two-way teleporter that leads to the middle of the map. You can see the other teleporter on the "Forerunner facility side" pic, in a very small cave on the lower side of the pic.

The rocket is located in the middle of the map, on the bridge. Beneath it spawns the Beam Rifle:

    Weapon List
    • 2x Sniper Rifles 118s Drop Spawn
    • 1x Rocket Launcher 178s Drop Spawn
    • 1x Beam Rifle 118s Drop Spawn
    • 2x Carbine 30s
    • 4x DMR 10s

I ran through this map last night. Its nice. I've been wanting to make something similar (but even more minimalistic) in this part of Forge World. I would think about adding another teleporter node to the other end of the map to balance things a little more, but otherwise I like the simplicity and use of existing geometry.

    Thanks for the comment :)

About the teleporter: It's just that I think that the "natural" side of the map don't really have many routes away from that side. They can eiter go beneath the bridge made out of rocks or go up on the small hill and then towards the bridge or down to right of it. Thats like 2,5 ways to get out of the natural side, so then I added a teleporter so that they easily could get out of the natural side, but they end up in a low ground position.

I feel like the Forerunner side already have enough options in where to go, so that they don't really need a teleporter.
