    Hey everyone!

Update: Placed a wall - colliseum at the three entrances so it's easier to snipe from the far ledge. Minor improvements are also added e.g. struts instead of blocks.

This is my first map post and, well, it's a Danger Canyon remake. It's called Danger Island, and it's set on the Island part of Forgeworld. As you may guess it's not perfect, but it is pretty close. We used the island's shape for the canyon part, and made a wall with rocks between the two bases. We realised that we couldn't dig into the mountain part, so all the exits are made with teleports, that go to the canyon part, where i made the indoor stuff.
Well, take a look at the pictures:

NOTE: I made this map with (gamertag) ARRY NL.
Oh, and if ANYONE wants to make an improved version PLEASE DO IT!!!

It sucks that the mountain is solid, so you weren't able to build inside the mountain.
I was going to try danger canyon, but game up when I found out that the mountain was solid.

Putting teleporters was a great idea. Surprisingly it works well.
None of my friends knew what map this was though, so easy kills for me!

Ok, as a map, this looks extremely fun to me. I love this style of map design, base to base, with extremely high narrow and open pathways, and plenty of room for vehicles while providing foot routes as well.

I will be downloading this and sending you a friend request so that I can play this with you sometime hopefully.

From looking at this map I give it an 8/10 overall.

Now... as a remake of Danger Canyon... I would only give it a 3/10. Some parts are obviously from Danger Canyon, but the overall sight lines, scale, proportions, layout, and design of the map is far off from Danger Canyon.

I understand it is difficult to remake Danger Canyon, but I think it is very possible to produce a much more similarly designed map to Danger Canyon than this. I think choosing the Island was what caused most of your problems.

But I'm not worried about it because it looks extremely fun to play on. And the individual parts, like the bases, the interior room, and so on, are very similar to Danger Canyon. So for particular parts, as a remake, you did very good, but for the layout, you were in a losing fight from the start doing this on the Island in my opinion.

Still, like I said, this is an excellent map! Danger Canyon was a great map wasn't it?

I'm going to try my own remake of Danger Canyon very soon actually, so you will be able to critique my attempt too soon lol!

I kinda agreed with you when it comes to the layout. But I chose to go for the island because I didn't want to make the canyon with building blocks or walls.
By the way, I'm looking forward to your version.

Anyway, I really appreciate all the comments, thanks!
