Relic X loosely based off of the Halo 2 map Relic. Brought to forge world by myslef (Arkolis) and my bro Markolise442. I am constantly updating this map and now will update this posting when new versions and gametypes are supported. Its a big map so bring some friends. NEW Version as of 10/4/2010 now supports invasion slayer, Team & FFA slayer. Ctf and headhunter in progress Please let me know what you think about it.
wow looks like a nice map, i might DL later. the big structure reminds me of the forerunner halo thing(shield maker i think). is there any vehicles?
Yes there are vehicles, It was a theater shot on a non vehicle gametype when I took the pics. Warthogs are in a similar (beach side area on orginal Relic Halo 2) area near the front of the structure, tank spawns on ocean side. Ghosts and a Revanent (spelling) spawn on the back "cliffside" area. Im working on a good invasion setup for this, also configuring it to work with ctf, etc.
New version as of last night. Added spawns for Invasion slayer and some different changes for slayer both FFA and Team. Please download and let me know what you think.
Bravo. Bravo indeed. First off, I just have to say well done This looks like a great map and it will probs be one of the best maps I will download so far. It looks as if you have some forging skills ;D I will try to make an accurate relic remake although that will probably be really hard on Forgeworld I have a question though. The gametype is a slayer spinoff called Grav-Gran Reach, just something fast and fun to play, works great on this map but not specific to it. Glad you like it. Im updating it to support more gametypes so please keep looking back.
Relic X is a really large map, just an FYI. Our suggestion would be to have game types of 6-8+. While building it, it didn't seem that tall or large
Finally I've been looking around for a good Relic map and this is definitely it. Tried it myself but I decided to use the smaller island area. Only mine ended up looking completely wrong. I like how you've made the central tower structure high enough not to be able to Jet Pack up onto. Which I'd seen on another version. Can't wait to try it in Invasion.
the map certainly looks very interesting. out of the sreenshots the last one is the coolest. go job on the map, alaska isnt the easiest place to forge after all
