Wow this is much improved. I like it more, I did prefer Last Resort to Zanzibar, and you guys got closer to Last Resort. I recommend that you mention your friend who helped you at the top of the thread, add more pictures, and add a weapon description. I will download on thursday and play this my friends. Great job, looks impressive
I love this,damn it i've downloaded 3 different last resort/zanzibar remakes now because they all look so good and have different parts of the map. For example you have walkway but not the wheel,other maps have the wheel,no walkway BUDGET SUCKS
the map with the wheel is mine too. ive made three different versions of this. and next i plan on taking this with all the details and somehow adding the fan blades. give me time.
This is definitely one of the best zanzibar remakes available. The problem I have with all the remakes of this map is the lack of detail to red base. I understand limitations to the budget and all, but it just seems as though red base is an afterthought when it should probably be the first thing built. That being said, I'm trying to keep just one of every map remake and yours is the one I'm keeping for zanzibar. Very well done.
just out of curiosity, why couldn't the two entrances leading to the turrets on either side of the center of the defensive base be made? Those made for a good spot to ambush people entering the base or for assassinating someone on a turret
igree with everyone about the defensive base. its hard to fit everything in perfectly though. those two entrances are not there due to lack of remaining peices to build with unfortunately. i had to use the " triple room" forge building for the defensive base and its layout just wasnt as perfect as i liked. maybe someday someone with be able to figure out how to get the defensive base more perfected. or maybe i will. but for now. im taking a break from this map.
its nice but a bit sloppy, i'm sure if you would look at your constructions that you could cut alot on the budget and make a better one (from scratch perhaps).
^^ bit sloppy? From the pics it looks pretty good. Yes there are some elements that could be replaced/removed, but that would be a step backward for the map IMO. I put it in my queue and am hopeful that this is a good remake. It looks alot better than your other one, or maybe it wasnt yours but still. I particularly like the broken wheel.
thanks facts. yes the other maps is mine too. hope you enjoy it. there are three versions by the way. the wheel keeps getting torn down haha. this one is best for gameplay though
this remake has exceeded my expectations of it. your remake of your original remake is amazing. the gameplay aspect has totally been added and integrated into this version. i was sad to see the fan blades go but it is deffinately worth it. you met all my expectations plus more. i love the new froman base and the catwalk and the sea wall modifications. i can not wait to play some lan parties on this map this weekend. great job gunther. really this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!! 10/10
Of all the maps that could've been remade, i had not expected Last Resort/Zanzibar. If there were to be any, i would've thought them to not be worth any time, and only half-assed attempts. Not this one, this looks awesome. I am going to download and play ASAP.
unfortunately yes it is missing that. i have not been able to make a way with the budget to add that in yet. i need more forging advice. otherwise everything else is there. and it should play quite well.
