The Halo Reach file browser is not loading the listed map for me. Inside of Halo Reach I browse my local files to select a particular Forge World map variant I created. I press 'A' to load it up but what happens is that it loads up a completely different map variant (one that I created on Boneyard- and so the game is loading up Boneyard instead of Forge World) that I have listed separately. The issue is only occurring with this map file. It's a map file I had saved off from the built in forge world map variant. When I press X on it in the file browser it brings up the details for that separate Boneyard map variant. When I select 'Save As' in the file browser it creates a duplicate of that separate Boneyard map variant. Otherwise, it is still a map that I spent a lot of time on in Forge World and it is listed in the file browser as its original name and as a Forge World map.
You cannot get this back, sorry to say.. happened to me already too. This is a horrible glitch that Bungie needs to address right away.. But I just highly doubt they would.
Its gone I'm sorry, I have had a map glitch out on me before. If you played it on custom game no made were I put spawn placements on the forge world map, you would die instantly. Mind you there were no kill zones.... talk about screwed up huh.
Have you tried uploading the map to your fileshare and downloading it again? Someone else had a problem like this and that solved it.
Thanks anyway for the response. Yes, I've tried uploading it to my fileshare and downloading it again, no luck.
You may have thought of this already - but I lost a map of halo 3 and was able to get it back by having a friend that I recently played a custom on the map with go into his recent files - save the map - upload it to his fileshare - i downloaded it and I had the map back. If you could possibly do this then you better act quick because of the limit on recent files. good luck and that sucks
Hopefully you can find it in Recent Files, otherwise it has probably been lost. ALWAYS use the "Save as New Map" function, never "Save".
