This is a small/medium sized map good for team objective and slayer. The premise for the map is that an old battleship ran aground on some rocks and was ultimately abandoned. The ship has multiple levels (above and below deck), and since it wrecked on rocks, the entire level is at an angle with the rear end and lower levels partially submerged. The rocks have stripped away large chunks of the ship's hull and debris and wreckage are all around in the water.
To anybody who tries out this map, please post if you have any glitches, gameplay issues or suggestions. I never had a chance to try this out with a large group so I'd appreciate any feedback if you have problems. Thanks!
nice concept. Never thought of making a boat that is in the middle of sinking but seems like a very solid concept. Although it seems as if the team toward the sinking end of the boat has less of an advantage. Other than that nice job!
Thank you! I've been wanting to make a map like this, but I was too lazy to do so. Now I don't have to. Thank you!
I see you haven't gotton much feedback on this thread so far other then "looks kind of cool i dunno about it tho looks weird maby ill check it out tho", so I'll do my best to remember to play this later and give some real feedback. aaa92 does have a good point in the team at the bottom having a disadvantage, because its much easier to through grenades when your at the top of the hill then at the bottom, but I don't know if that will be a problem or not.
I tried to balance it out by having the sinking end also have the "bridge" area which stands up tall. The team on that end spawns at the top level of the bridge while the team at the other end actually spawns one level below deck, so everyone spawns at relatively the same height. Now of course you are right that while on the main deck, players attacking from the bow of the ship will have a high ground advantage to those to stern, but from the bridge area you can see almost all access points, plus there's a sniper near by as well as a turret, so a good team can hold it defensively during objective gametypes.
