Version 1.1 Update: Gametypes: - Added support for Team Headhunter. Be sure to use Bungie's Team Headhunter settings. (1 point, 1 minute rotations, no instant win, score to win 50 or more, 12 minute match) Balance: - Added a couple more spawning locations for both teams. - Added extra cover on the Tier 1 to Tier 3 catwalks. Fixes: - Added soft kill barriers in a couple of trouble spots, particularly the top of Tier 4's tower. - Added a hard kill barriers to prevent Banshee abuse on the outside of the Tier 3's wall. - Adjusted some of Red Team's spawns at Tier 2. - Removed several unnecessary rock aesthetics to reduce the number of objects on screen in certain locations, especially while in the Banshee. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Design Intent: My goal for Side Junction was to create a map suitable for Big Team Battle 1 Flag and 1 Bomb games. My hopes are to inspire the community into making some much needed large maps to spice up the current 3 map cycle of Spire, Boneyard, and Hemorrhage in BTB. In order to make a large enough map with the limited supplies of forge, it was obvious that I needed to select a portion of Forge World that could supply me with enough ground, contour, and walls to save on objects. Map Description: The map is setup with 4 tiers, with mutliple ways to get from tier to tier. There are 2 man cannons; one taking you from tier 1 to tier 3 and the other taking you from tier 2 to tier 4. In addition to man cannons, players can also use 2 teleporters. Teleporter Alpha takes you from tier 1 to the backside of tier 3's field, and teleporter Bravo takes you from the top of tier 4's tower to the back side of tier 2's tower. As is usually the case, if players are not interested in taking man canons or teleporters, they can instead opt to traverse the many catwalks and paths leading to every tier. I also kept jet packs in mind and made sure that players didn't feel forced into using them (Sword Base Syndrome). looks pretty decent and original, though i suggest putting some cover here and there, especially on the walkways. Because you would be unstoppable with a sniper rifle.
Thanks for the tip. I would need to play test the map a lot before I could decide upon putting any cover at certain positions. I would also have to sacrifice some aesthetics to do so, as only 10 dollars are left on the map.

The Tester's Guild exists for this purpose. Next time, submit your map to the Guild for testing before posting your final version. I really like the layout of this map. It genuinely looks like it was supposed to be there, built on the side of the cliffs. You did a great job achieving the look and feel that you were going for. I'm looking forward to playtesting this, and I agree that there is a sore need for more BTB maps. But, sadly i agree with the above poster that the sniper will probably be overdominant.
