Like what has to happen for sudden death to take place? Since it's not like a normal capture the flag type game and since the flags have to sit in the capture area until that timer counts down, what does sudden death do? As you may know, I'm working on my current project Smashball. The scoring system uses stockpile. Well I've ran into something interesting. The lowest time you can put on the flag collection timer for stockpile is 15 seconds. So let's say you are playing Smashball, your team scores a goal with 10 seconds left in the game but the flag collection timer is at 13 seconds. You will trigger the scoring system, yet the flag won't get collected in time to count your goal. One solution to this would just be making each round unlimited time. But I'm afraid of games never ending due to no time limit. So this is why I am asking what sudden death does in stockpile? Does it go into sudden death if there is a flag in the capture point but not enough time on the game clock?
Sudden I believe is just an extra 30 seconds or so of time at the end of a game that allows any last minute objectives to be scored/captured.
But then does that mean if sudden death was enabled it would happen every game? What triggers sudden death for stockpile? Like how in CTF if you are holding the enemy flag sudden death happens. What triggers sudden death for stockpile?
Ugh, it doesn't go into sudden death if there is a flag in the capture point...This totally messes up my game type
