Thanks for viewing. This is a thread dedicated to my latest project, Project Ninevah. This is going to be a progress report page, a suggestion page, and eventually a full preview page. Unfortunately, I have yet to finish enough of it to take screenshots, I'll try to add some eye-candy tonight. EDIT: Eye Candy The real reason for posting such an early preview is because it incorporates new switch tech. It takes the form of a security checkpoint which includes Halo Reach's first door. It also has another nifty surprise which I'll show later. UPDATE #1 Security checkpoint is done, along with the initial spawn area. Aircraft hanger is 55% complete. The main hall is 5% complete. Lobby is 80% complete. Posted pix
It's going to be a clan base. Meaning it only really fits slayer. That being said, It will have extra items to tweak it to a given gametype. Currently it's on slayer though, as slayer is better for clan meetings.
And so starts the clan maps. Not gonna lie, I have never seen a clan that uses these. They all just sit in the pre-game lobby for meetings.
Well, yeah that is what mostly happens unless you get people who want to interact more. When I was in RGC we would make a map and all have a part in it. People could do there own thing in an area given to them so it wasn't just purely talking and people just not paying attention when the meetings took place. Clan maps help when you are actually an officer, it brings more interest to meetings, and will keep people more active with each other at least a little bit more.
This really isn't a map for serious clans, it's more for the s**ts and giggles clan. If it were serious, I wouldn't be hard at work on the dedicated grifball court and the strip joint. Also, it's a showcase for the new switches, which if I can get a render to work, will be shown in the next update.
I don't see the point of a clan map. It's just a waste of time to forge and play on. I'd rather be playing the game than siting in a pointless match.
