Once a UNSC training facility, a devastating fissure turned it into a ravaged battlefield.. CTF, KotH, Bomb, Territories. 8-16p Description: So this is my first completed map, also my first post here on FH. Designed between Alaska and Montana of Forge World, Fissure is my first completed Forge project, has taken me 2-3 weeks to complete. It features two bases on opposite ends, two Sniper towers, and a flat road of hazards waiting for battle. Best with 8-16 players, features Team Slayer, Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, Oddball, and Neutral Assault. Weapons: 2x Rocket Launchers on each side 2x Snipers on each tower, adjacent from each and the bases 8x DMR spawns spread across the map 4x AR spawns, 2 in each base 2x shotguns, hidden in each base 2x Shade Turrets 2x Machine turrets in each tower 2x Banshees 4x Warthogs 4x Ghosts 2x Revenants 2x Plasma Pistols, one under each ramp 1x Grav Hammer (KotH only) Comment and Criticism appreciated! Looks great! a few things to do on a v2 maybe are to increase cover in the middle area or build a large center building that has both teams rushing to it at the start for an advantage? just a thought. Ive been making a map like this that covers both mountains completely but i have had issues with lack of items to provide cover to the middle after i finished the bases. Edit i realized the openness of the middle was your design my bad.
Yeah, I thought about a cover system, and couldn't really figure out much. Maybe I'll put small bunkers in the center, idk yet. EDIT: Haha, it's OK, really. I might consider adding a bunker or two later down the line, but who knows.
What about... Eg. 2 ramps on each side going to a platform one level above the hole, Then some sort of tower on each side with walkways up to the top floor?
Sounds interesting, I'll keep that in mind. "Top floor" being the top floor of the sniper towers, right?
I really suggest taking the FX off, as it makes it hard to see the map. From what I can see you need a lot more cover and structures. When adding cover be sure not to just add random blocks and stuff. Do your best to make it look good and "flow". By flow I mean don't just put it there for cover, but for some other purpose, like a the added movement from a walkway.
