Breach & Clear is a project I annouced back in Halo 3 which was kicked back to Halo:Reach. In the dying months of Halo 3, I was building this gametype and map to feel more like Search & Destroy. But that didn't work out too well. Invasion was something I was very excited about and decided to work on that gamemode. Finally after 15 hours of no stop forging. Its ready for testing. I've been working on certain things that I got inspired by, Destructable Door (Vlad 356), Control Panel (Joe is Outside) and so on. I was also inspired by D-Day maps from tons of people. Breach & Clear has 3 Missions. Destroy the Gate, Unlock the Core, Get out with the core. Simple right? Wrong. Again based off of D-Day, the elites have a entire gate/building with mounted plasma turrets. Dodge them to unlock the core. Which takes about 20 Secs. Finally whenn you get to the core, don't think your done. You have to drag it back to the ship. But the Covenent should have a Revenant. So that maybe a problem. cool, how did you get the gate to explode? ive seen it before but i dont know how to do it edit: i watched vlads guide but dont exactly understand it. would u explain?
You need to know how to make gated objects for this. Read the bungie invasion forge guide if you don't know how. Label the gate (to be destroyed) an invasion gate with spawn sequence set to whatever round it is destroyed after. Label the destroyed gate scenery pieces invasion weapons with spawn sequence one greater than that of the other gate, and spawn time set to 1.
Question: How did you make the core carrier use/ride on the mongoose? Is he just on top of the thing and not actually using it?
