Welcome to the future of halo sports. This is, by far the largest playing field ever forged. Not only that, it's also the first Grifball stadium to be spawn-kill proofed. I now have two custom gametypes ready for use on this map; they are linked at the bottom of this post. The minor misalignment above was fixed shortly after this was taken, and is not in the final product. There's no detail I miss in my maps. It's set up for all gametypes except Race and Invasion Slayer, so you can get creative with how you want to use it. Here's a few gametypes I've crafted for use on this map: Super-Massive Grifball The basic Grifball for this map. Base player traits are 150% speed, 125% jump, 150% gravity, and UNLIMITED Sprint. Grif's speed changes to 200%, and all other movement traits remain the same. This should work great for 4v4 up to 8v8. Grifball Invasion SMS This game uses the same movement specifications as Super-Massive Grifball, but applied to Invasion. All phases are Assault, utilizing Super-Massive Stadium's unique Invasion setup: With each passing phase, the bomb spawns further from the goal. The bomb timer is set to 1 sec., the lowest possible setting for Invasion. However, the detonation has been instantaneous in game tests, making it a perfect simulation of Grifball. If you're inspired by the gametypes and / or map, feel free to post your own variations in this thread. Enjoy!
nice little stadium you have with quality detail. it seems quite big though for grifball and if your playing swords it would take forever to reach each other
The associated gametypes in the OP make that a non-issue. You'll swear you were playing standard Grifball on a standard Grifball map... except that everybody is like a speck on this giant surface.
How did you get the floor to be so smooth? When ever I save a map and then reload it, it seems Forge has decided to change the angle of my walls from a 90 degree angle to something horrible.
You're right, it does that for me as well. It seems to be a glitch with the snap that is most prevalent with "super size" forge objects. They never really sit perfectly at an angle (after save); the best result I've gotten is to put on 5 degree snap, then touch [grab and release the object without changing it's location or angle] all of the objects that appear to be out of alignment. There's no way to make it 100% right. I tried alot of things to try and fix it. I spent probably half of my building time on this trying to fix it. It's not perfect, but it's flat enough to not impact gameplay.
I added gametypes to the thread, and I'd like to know what people think of them. People like... you! O_O
