Studies have shown that in 99% of cases, random Forge creations go terribly wrong. 1% of maps go on to become inspiring, addictive and unforgettable additions to the Halo: Reach multiplayer map roster. This map, however, is not one of them. Welcome to Lookout! Lookout is a small Slayer map, with some Lockout and Guardian influences. It's not meant for battles where a player can skillfully stay alive through an entire game: it's a slaughterhouse disguised as a Forerunner research installation. For this reason, there are plenty of ways for you to get the drop on unsuspecting fools below you. There's plenty of places for them to take cover, however: we wouldn't want to make things too easy, now would we? And of course, no map is complete without some pretty things to ogle at when you're not slaughtering your friends. Lookout delivers. So Ladies, Gentlemen, and everything in between, if you're going to download one map this week, make sure it's Lookout! Otherwise, my army of evil Ninjas might find you.
Looks cool, can't wait to try it out with some of my friends. I like the floating rock aesthetic. Can't believe I didnt think about that, or didn't I...
I really enjoyed this map for FFA.. haven't played a team game on it, but I recommend you guys give it a try. It has a really nice asymmetrical layout.. there's a really nice flow to the map. It makes sense.. you don't feel like "ok, this spot is awesome, I'm going to camp here the rest of the game" .. it feels like every spot has its own advantages and you're free to move about to engage the enemy. Doesn't waste space.
