Skinvasion1.1 is a custom Invasion map intended to be played with the Skinvasion custom game type. It is a very large map and is best played by two teams of 6-8 players. The Attacking team is Blue (Elites). The Defending team is Red (Spartans). Phase One (Assault variant): The Blue team must plant the bomb at the rear of the barrier blocking the first bridge. The bomb takes 60sec to arm and 30sec to detonate. The bomb carrier gets a shield boost. The phase ends with the destruction of the barrier, granting the Wraith Tanks access to the other side of the canyon. The Red team must prevent the destruction of the barrier for 10min to win in the first phase. The Red team begin Phase One in a hastily prepared defensive position. Phase Two (Territories variant): The Blue team must assault the base and capture one of the two towers. The Red team must defend the towers for 10min to win in the second phase. The base can be entered three ways, using the man cannon at the end of the second bridge, scaling the front wall with a jet pack or sneaking around the cliff face side. The base has two defensive machine gun turrets and a lower level in the front wall with firing slits for defenders. Phase Three (Reverse CTF variant): The Blue team now occupy the base. There is a Mongoose in the bunker at the rear of the base – this is a movable ‘Hill’ and must be driven to the ‘Core’ which is found in the small bunker at the Blue team’s original starting location. The Blue team must drive the Mongoose inside the small bunker, dismount, pickup the Core and place it on the Mongoose to win. Once you enter the small bunker you can only exit by committing suicide. The Core cannot leave the small bunker. The Blue team gains a Banshee in the final phase. The Red team must prevent the Mongoose reaching the Core for 10min in order to win the round. The Red team gain a Scorpion Tank in the final phase. This is my first Invasion map and only my second custom map ever! Thanks Henk. I still haven't been able to get enough Friends together at the same time for a decent game on this map. If anyone has downloaded it and managed to test it with 10+ players, please let me know how it played and if I should change or tweak anything about the map or the custom game type. I like the idea of taking the mongoose to the core, instead of vice versa. I have wanted to do an invasion map for awhile where you have to take the core from the attacker's base into the defender's base, but can't think up a good story line for it. Great job on this map anyway, The bridge is one of the best I have seen!
