ATTN: Play test tonight 10/9. I'll be on around 9:30 or 10 and on most of the night. If you want to play some custom games send me a message. Hey guys I'm a little new to forge but have messed around with H3's forge and have been spending a lot of time with Reach's forge. Here is my first public forge effort. Map: Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details Game Type: Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details The basic idea behind the map is for it to be a little more than your basic stockpile game. Competing to round up apartments. There are tons of different flag locations located around the map. from top to bottom. Inside and out. Also by the pool. Every loadout features a Jetpack and DMR. There is also the option of shotgun or sword. I was thinking maybe a gravity hammer but it might be a little too powerful when everyone is fighting for the flags. The flag carrier traits have be altered so you can jetpack around with flags. The capture points are in the open on top of Pinnacle but are protected by one way shields. You can only go in to drop off form one side but can exit in any direction. I would really like to get some help on placing weapons on the map. I'm not too familiar with it and I'd not exactly sure what I want to put on it. Anyone else notice the Skull in the mountain behind Forge World?
The map looks pretty, not sure how well those one way shield doors will work for gameplay @-@ I didn't notice that. Congratualations, you've found the Forgeworld skull!
Thanks. The shield doors work pretty well actually. You just need to be a little more precise when running in which may be a problem but I really need to test and find out. I was also thinking of adding walls with the doors to expand the space a bit but I'm also really low on my budget. the last $2500 dollars went so quick. Its definitely interesting to try and run in and steal a flag from the opposite team though.
If you need play testers, just submit your map to the Testers Guild and they will test and write a review on it. Your map is pretty good BTW. I like it and it is pretty enjoyable.
Well I'd really like to play it too since I've only played it by myself and get some immediate feedback. Thanks for the suggestion though. I think I'll do that after I get a little testing done myself. I know I need to place some weapons and things.
