ARCADIA PRECINCT 2 Arcadia Precinct 2 is a City map utilising light vehicles. Each base has 2 mongeese(?), 1 chaingun hog and 1 gaus hog. There are 2 ghosts in neutral positions. The map mixes wide open roads (where the hogs reign supreme) with elevated positions and indoor areas only accessable to infantry. The central hub of the map is perfectly symmetrical. The border is assymetrical for asthetic reasons. It's a genuine Big team map, best played with 8-16 players. This map has been thoroughly playtested and modified multiple times. It is set up for all game types except invasion and race. CTF and stockpile can be played with up to 4 teams. OVERVIEW: BLUE BASE- Each base has a good supply of DMRs, ARs and grenades as well as one shotty. A sniper and a rocket launcher are just outside ecah base. ROOF TOPS THE CENTRAL OVERPASS- This makes a great sniper spot and is also where the spartan laser spawns. THE CENTRAL BOULEVARD- Infantry are vulnerable to the hogs if caught out on the streets. But there are ways under it... Needler and concussion rifle spawn in this tunnel. THE FOUNDATIONS: Provide a fast route from base to base but offers easy pickings for the rocket launcher. Note the location of the sword. Other assorted action shots: NB: Anyone who played the first version should note that subtle changes to cover and weapon locations have been made to improve gameplay.
This is a really convincing map, it looks nice and reminds me of Halo 3's Multicog. Its probably because of the vehicles. This map looks pretty big too. It looks as if it is to big for Safe Havens. Map looks nice, good job.
Based on recent feedback, I have increased the respawn time on the vehicles. (thanks to GT PureLood for the comments)
How many coliseum walls did you use in this map? Queued for download. Might give it a try Sunday night...I'll be on 10pm EST if you want to shoot me a FR.
I used 40 colly walls (I used all the window/wall allocation and had $2 left in budget). Don't know if I'll be making Arcadia Precinct 3, but I'll deffo be making more vehicle based BTB maps as I think these are under-represented at the moment.
