Yeah, as the title suggest, my disc drive seems to up and stopped working. Last night I tried to burn some movies to a Dual Layer DVD for the first time and my burner just locked up, and I couldn't even open it without having to restart the computer. But before I could, I bluescreened and the computer restarted itself.

Anyways, again today my computer bluescreened but I have no clue why since I was at school. Being the idiot I am, I tried to burn the same content for the second time and it again locked up. This time, however, I was able to apparently cancel the burn in ImgBurn (the software I use) when it got stuck 'Writing LeadIn'. But now, disc drive doesn't show up in explorer and I can't open my drive.

This is my PC: HP Pavilion a6120n PC (GC670AA) specifications - HP Home & Home Office Products

Only thing that differs from these specs is the graphics card, which shouldn't have an effect on why my burner is doing this.

Maybe try reinstalling the drivers and using different software to burn your discs.
