    YouTube - New XBOX 360 Slim Trailer E3 2010

In the xbox 360 slim trailer it clearly says that the new model should be whisper quiet, however mine has been screaming like a ***** ever since i got it...

I pre-ordered a Halo Reach xbox since my last one broke, and i was really excited for a quiet console. Right now i'm pretty pissed of at Microsoft for failing the new model.

I suppose it depends on your definition of whisper quiet, but my new slim model is considerably quieter than my xbox elite, my guess is that you have a faulty one, can you return it for a replacement?

Yes I agree with you because my friend buy it and the device is batter then its xbox elite and working so smooth and quiet so I think you should connect to xbox service station.

It will be wispy quiet if it is looked after, kept in a well ventilated place and in a non-dusty room..

The slim is something that I don't want to run out and buy, but would definitely get if my current xbox broke. It has a few handy improvements over the regular. Quiet or not.
