Has anyone tried making an infection variation where the humans can't actually kill the zombies? My thought would be to set it up more or less like this: humans spawn in the center of a big circular map, zombies spawn around the perimeter. Zombies move slow (maybe like 75% speed) and have swords; humans move at normal pace. The humans can't actually kill the zombies so your goal is just to elude as long as possible - theoretically you'd get points for staying alive (not sure if that's possible in infection?) and for being last man standing, and zombies would get points for kills like usual. It would be pretty funny and terrifying being the last man, running from a slow zombie horde with no ability to fight back.
if there was a way to make safe havens give you points, i would definitely love this idea. you could probly do it with KOTH, making it slow elites versus fast spartans or something. im sure there is a way to accomplish it.
If I understood what you want to do right, it is the same thing that I was trying to accomplish. Here is a link to the thread that I started about it. Get points for staying alive longer. I don't believe it is possible to give people points depending on how long they live. At least not if you want each team to have different abilities/traits.
I will have to play with it this weekend and see if it can be set up. One thing I've never cared for with infection is that if you know the map and are a pretty good shot, there's not much unpredictability to it - you go to your favorite hidey hole and wait for the zombies to give you free headshots. Then you eventually die when all the other humans are dead and their numbers overwhelm you. The good thing about this idea, I think, is that no particular place is safe - the best strategy would be to be to always keep moving and stay as far away from the zombies as you can. Added after 2 minutes: It would have to be properly set up so that the points you get for staying alive for a few minutes outweigh the points you get for killing a few people as a zombie. Ideally a zombie who kills let's say three or four humans should get slightly less points than a guy who survives three minutes as a human and then is last man standing.
