**PLEASE NOTE** This is currently only built for a special type of Invasion. I'm not sure what to do in regards to Slayer and other gametypes. Please download "Invasion: Cartographer" when you download the map as it has a unique Assault phase for Phase 2.

This Invasion map was built while experimenting with various pieces and also attempting to replicate the "Bomb blowing up a door" idea someone had on Bnet. From there, it grew into three whole phases. An initial close-quarters phase atop a Forerunner arena, a beach bombing run and a Relic-inspired third phase where many vehicles collide in order to secure the core.

    Phase 1:

The first phase has 3 territories up for grabs. When one is captured, a teleporter opens up, transporting players to the next phase (alternatively, you'll spawn there after you've died). The strategy is simple, secure the middle of the arena. Cutting off that choke point will make it hard for the attacking or defending side to control the territories on opposite ends of the map, thus giving you the advantage. This first phase is all about player placement and movement.

    Phase 2:

The second phase involves Spartans bombing the Elite's stronghold. To do this, they are granted a Sniper Rifle and a Warthog while the Elites have a solitary Ghost. There is a base overlooking the stronghold platform for Infantry. In addition to that, there is a short walkway situated beneath three Forerunner structures if you need to get there in a hurry.

    Phase 3:

In the third and final phase, the Spartans must seize the power core atop the Elite's base. They must either swoop in with a flying vehicle, or make their way up the long and perilous structure. Halo 2 fans will notice a similarity between this Phase and Halo 2's map: Relic. Although the Banshee, Falcon and Scorpion are all new additions. Winning this phase will be all about controlling the vehicles and creating a clear path for the guy running the objective.

    All 3 Phases:

The overall "goal" was to create 3 very distint phases. From tight, close-quarter walkway battles in the first phase, to light skirmishes on the beach, and finally, huge vehicle battles in order to secure the safe return of the core. Not everyone is fond of Invasion, so I thought I'd try and make it appeal to various tastes and styles of play.

Edit: Sorry for any typos (I haven't re-read my post due to being very tired right now...)

Cool, if you have any videos I'd be grateful if you could send them my way. And I don't know if you can, but if you see me online, feel free to send me an invite.

It played really well, I don't think I saved the video, but I think we're getting together online tonight to give it another go.

The screenshot showing all three phases is excellent by the way, really shows off what the map is made of! :)
