Man I spent all day on this thing... left it for a while, turned the Xbox back on and when I go to load the map it loads regular forge world. Before I start completely over from scratch.... Has anyone ever seen this before, and if so, were you able to find a workaround? Thanks in advance... Cool community... glad I found it. -Doc
oh... kay.... um.. What's that? By the way thank you for replying. I can SEE the map in my map list, but when I select to load it to work on it it just loads Forge World... the basic forge world
In your file browser there is section called Temporary History. It displays all the recent games you've played.
I hate to have to ask this, but did you hit Start and select "Save New Map"? If so, did you select your map?
An excellent question actually, because I've been that absent minded before... but no. So its not like its loading my map but there's nothing there... What is happening is basically I go to load the map like i always do, and when I select it, where it SHOULD go through the LOADING % thing before allowing me to START... it replaces the name of my map that i selected... with plain forge world. Added after 1: ummm I think I am going to put this map in fileshare... maybe some kind person would try to open it and see if it does the same thing to them... if it DOES open maybe you could rename it or something and send it back... Added after 7 minutes: IF THIS EVER HAPPENS TO YOU.... Just upload your map to file share then redownload it to your system. PRESTO. FIxed. That was really strange though.
Yeah there's a glitch in the system where you can't load a map, it's happened to one of my maps, and I've seen a thread about another. Glad to see that uploading to file share works, I'll try that tomorrow with mine.
Did you actually start a game and double-check if it's basic Forge World and not just your map's name not loading? Srsly.
Its actually a glitch I've experienced and have seen another person experience. In my case I was actually making a map on sword base, but when I selected it, it loaded up my map on forgeworld. Every other map works, its like my sword base map was corrupted. Added after 50 minutes: Dangit, file share upload did not work with mine Guess I'll have to redo it. Added after 1 51 minutes: Wow, seriously wtf, I recreated my map (a little better too) it took me like 2 hours, and bam its gone again. I try loading it up, and it loads up a different variant. Added after 11 Hours 3 minutes: Anyone got a solution for this? or I am going to have to wait until a patch of some sort?
