Authors: DIEabolical, wwolf655 Map Name: Imperial Star Destroyer Map Canvas: Forge World Map Size: Medium Player Count: 4-16 Supported Gametypes: Assault, Rebel Attack __________________________________________________ Description: Ok you knew it was coming and here it is ... Rebel attack on Imperial Star Destroyer supports the custom gametype REBEL ATTACK and One bomb. Rebel attack is one bomb with a few changes listed here. Since Bungie decided not to let bomb carriers on the falcon on standard game types we have adjusted the carrier to have full vehicle use but always has a waypoint to all players. Loadouts consist of different covenent weapons and equipment to give the star wars feel. All players will have slightly lowered gravity for a more spacey feel. Everything else is the same as your standard one bomb. Weapons on the Destroyer are spread out and consist of 1 rocket 1 clip, 1 grenade launcher, 1 shotgun. Rebel base weapons are located together by initial spawns and consist of the same weapons. The teleportal in the rebel base will take you randomly to one of the 3 corners of the ship. Special thanx goes to all my testers, wolf , and Dairy Cows for helping out. Defenders spawn in the ship hanger. Bomb plant is on the bridge level. Center teleportal will take you to the room in the pic below. Teleportals in the side rooms will take you to one of the two shade turrents located on the outside deck of the ship. Rocket spawn room. Elevator shaft will take you to any of the 3 levels. Wolf did an excellent job making the Rebel base cave look natural and awesome. DOWNLOAD MAP DOWNLOAD GAMETYPE Daytime pics
first post, not even gonna bother quoting..really?? D, from the moment I saw this destroyer taking shape in its early stage, I knew it was destined for greatness. Hell look at the Halo 3 one, and that was just sandbox! Glad to see this remake, forging is excelent, and the gameplay was a blast. The scale compared to halo 3 is unbelievable! many have attempted to make this destoryer, i don't think i need to say anything else This thing is staying on my drive for ions to come
Wow I searched for a star destroyer on the file browser in reach and came across this about four or five days ago, and it looks like you already made some changes. My only complaint was that the grav lift system in the interior was very difficult to use if you wanted to go the the floor directly above, rather than two floors above, so hopefully you fixed that. Great map man.
this is exactly wat i was thinking maybe conceal and warthog rocket or gause in the front so there would be 2 shades on the sides and one gause in the middle, but other than that this will definatly be a download
Indeed the shade turrents easy targets for the banshees, but at the same time a tank, rocket or gauss hog would be too overpowering to the rebel banshees. The turrets are a good defense for cleaning the rebel scum off the deck of the ship. Yes wwolf655 is from halo 3 forges. Also the left elevator shaft will take you to second level and right will take you to third level now. Thanks for the input guys.
The very same i thought the shade turrets were perfect cause there Not over powered and the Rebel Banshee's will be distracted in fighting the Imperial Banshee's rather than just gunning for the turrets
Same, hah. Cant wait to play this sometime soon, looks very well done, and looks as though it should play very well. Only concern by looking at the pictures, is that it doesnt look like it has enough turrets. Perhaps a row of Shades along each side of the ship or something, not so that they can all be manned and firing, but in the event that if one or 2 are destroyed, the defenders can move onto another Shade, and keep on defending. Haven't played it yet though, so maybe 2 is more than enough, i'll just have to see for myself. Anyways, great job, looks stellar.
Yeah, i noticed that once i checked it out in Forge, but now that ive actually gave it a look, 3 turrets should be more than enough. Again, great Forge you guys. Oh, also, where is the Nightime FX thingy? I wanna if i like the map better w/o it or not.
Just did a forge thru of this map. The exterior of this map is very impressive, although I'm not sure if I agree with placing the turrets on top of the Star Destroyer. I also wasn't too fond of the 1-way shield door protecting the landing bay. I think that's the way the Rebels should be attacking the Star Destroyer. There's a lot of unused area within the Star Destroyer which is kinda depressing. The Rebel base just seems thrown together to attempt to make it into a playable game type. I think this should have just stayed as an aesthetic map.
I think you should stop thinking till you actually play the map then mabey you will start knowing about the map.
Yeah... let's play Star Wars on top of a Star Destroyer, where you provided no cover, and not inside one, like it should be. Then let's have both sides spawn camp... because you didn't make that too difficult to do, especially when you provide shotguns on both sides very close to the spawn areas. I don't need to play the map to know you failed at gameplay...
I've played on this map and there's only 1 word for it.....Amazing! It is a very good map that i would recommend to everyone. I've played something similar called super star destroyer. It's good but it only works for invasion. It wasn't so creative though. This is flat out amazing! Either way, Great Job.
If you would've played the game you would know that its mainly an aerial battle and I provided multiple ways to access the ship , sure some of the fighting happens on the deck but only if an attacker chooses to use the Tele instead of vehicles. Also the one way shield doors and spread out respawns prevent spawn killing, I can assure everyone that spawn killing does not happen on this map. But you would know all of this if you actually played the map and weren't a .....nevermind.
Yeah... let's just say that you had some insightful information about the map you never played and let's just assume you know what you're talking about because of your credibilty. Let me just say that you have a right to voice your opinion but without knowledge about this map, you come across as an ignorant person. You generally can't judge a map without having any knowledge about it and no matter what you think, playing a map will open your eyes to things. I'd love to see how in the hell you know how spawn camping exists on this map with a party of a whopping one player in forge. I'd also love to know why you used gameplay as a verb, it simply is not an action, you don't "gameplay" a map. I don't need to know what english classes you take to know you fail at grammar.... Anyway DIEabolical, don't stress over comments without any evidence to prove what they say. Simply know that if they did know what they were talking about, they would have explained a little more in depth than, "You failed at gameplay." You and Wolf did many more games than he even thought about and the two of you know way more about it. So don't worry, it is a good map and I really enjoyed it for small teams, hope to get a few games on it if you're ever playing this in the future.
Amazing job on the Star Destroyer, your halo 3 version was awesome now that you have made it on halo reach it looks hell of a lot better plus it looks better for gameplay. This map is going to be pretty fun to play on i can tell you that.
uhhh? I can't download from bungie to my xbox, can anyone upload it on the computer so i can download and put on a flash drive so i can then transfer it to my xbox? f anyone could would be extremly grateful
