Den is my first finished map in Reach. It isn't perfect, and the spawns are probably a bit wonky as of now, but I'll be improving it and tweaking things in the time to come. I tried not to overload the map with power weapons, and with testing, I think I've found a pretty good balance. Thanks for checking the map out, be sure to leave any comments or constructive criticisms you may have.

    Weapons:
    [x1] Needler
    [x2] Plasma Grenade
    [x1] Plasma Pistol
    [x1] DMR
    [x1] Frag Grenade

Den is a small (as of now) Slayer map, meant for 2-8 players. The map focuses around two rooms- the purple cave (Red team spawn):

And the indoor area (Blue team spawn):

The featured weapon is inside of purple cave (the Needler) and it spawns 30 seconds in.

Haha, I realize what you're saying, and believe me, I tried a Rocket Launcher, Fuel Rod, Sword, but for the map size, and considering there's only one main chokepoint, every other power weapon proved to be too overbearing for any Slayer gametype- the Needler, I found, provides a nice balance of power and stability.

I do agree with schleb, it might be nice to have at least some sort of power weapon, but with a small amount of ammo. The design of the map, is nice. really lovely color mixture of the rocks. To me, i would think this should be a little more on the side on an infection game. With picture #3, the walk ways seem a little open. Maybe put in some "1x1 skinny and tall" to the walls or a little in the open to add some cover and some feel.

    lighting

I loved the lighting in the cave. The rocks look way cool.
