    The Rig

    Author's Comments: This is the first map I've put up on forgehub, ever. I've done a lot of mapping in other communities and was coaxed into putting this one up here. I've had a long line of vertical-styled maps, but this one is equally horizontal as it is vertical. Give it a spin and let me know how you like it.

    Main mode of play: Slayer gametypes
    Symmetrical: Yes

    Description: A four-story vertical layout, with rapid movement and fast-paced gameplay. Intended for four to twelve players. Steep drops are frequent, but most are nonlethal. Energy sword and concussion rifle take the center, while other weapons are dispersed around the map. Two shotguns are on landing pads, exposed to fire from multiple angles, they are intended to counterbalance the sword. These two shotguns carry only 6 shells each, no extra ammo. Map is primarily given covenant weaponry.

    Backstory

    Engineer Log 1, 0600 hrs Day 1: We're not sure how the whole place was disabled... some kind of electromagnetic surge occurred deep beneath the structure itself. We can't resume drilling until the deep sea operators have figured out what's going on down there. Last I heard from them, they had seen a bright light flash below the surface, and then silence. No radio contact since midnight last night.

    Engineer Log 2, 1100 hrs Day 1: Our lifts are up and running again, but the operations still can't resume. Everybody's nerves are on end. We're supposed to have the payload delivered soon, but I'm not sure. I want to get off this station and get back to my family.

    Engineer Log 3, 1600 hrs Day 1: Still no word from the scuba teams sent down last night. The rig's captain has ordered a drone down to investigate these blue waters. We're still not sure what caused the electromagnetic surge down there. I'm going to radio for an airlift out of here for the night... head back to the main outpost, get some rest.

    Engineer Log 4, 0800 hrs, Day 3: I'm headed back to the rig. Captain called me back after I was able to get away for a couple nights, visit family and such. Says that they've discovered the source of the surge. Some kind of ancient alien technological artifact. I'm interested, but apprehensive about seeing it up close. They say it glows with a blue light, and resembles some of the other stuff we've seen on this ring. I just hope it's not dangerous.

    Engineer Log 5, 0900 hrs, Day 3: Captain radioed airlift in, but all that came through was static after we radioed back. I'm not sure what's going on. I'm rather worried again. I hope it isn't the Covenant.

    Engineer Log 6, 1300 hrs, Day 3: Everybody's missing. Captain's tags were on his desk, but he was nowhere to be found. Lots of blood stains and scorch marks. Not really sure where everybody is. There is evidence of a struggle, but we probably weren't prepared. There were only two guards on watch today, the rest were back at the outpost. It isn't like the Covenant to just go in, and go out without leaving a trail of bodies. This is just creepy. I'm getting the hell off this place.

    Yes you embedded a preview thumbnail but you need pics in your post as well mate.

    I downloaded this and just ran around by myself in custom. Seems like a very cool map. Nice jumps to be made with sprint. Can't wait to get some real games on this :D
